Heyoo, this is my Kiln Fiend deck with a $90 budget. I've gotten 1st and 2nd in the two events i've played with this deck.

P.S. You can get it down to $60 without the sideboard.

Turn by Turn Guide

The God Hand

1. Play Mountain, tap for R, exile Simian Spirit Guide for R, play Kiln fiend.

2. Mountain, tap both for R R, Play practically any combination of spells, win the game. (This happens quite often if you're going first.) If you keep a hand like this, you'll probably end up winning by turn 3.

The Average Game

An average hand consists of a Mountain or two, as well as either a Flamekin Harbinger or a Kiln Fiend. Don't keep anything without one of these.

This deck functions exactly how you'd expect it to. Just get your Kiln Fiend on the board as quickly as possible, then buff it up and cast spells to win.

Sideboarding

If your Kiln Fiend is facing heavy removal, side in a Postmortem Lunge to revive it from the grave against strategies like jund. If too many of your fiends are getting countered by Spell Snare, it's best to side in Guttural Response, possibly taking out Brute Force, Manamorphose or Pyretic Ritual. Dismember and Gut Shot are on the side because they can take care of pesky early blockers for cheap. Fury Charm is there for Affinity and decks with Spellskite.

Upgrades

These are changes that can be made at the cost of, well, more money. These cards ain't cheap.

• Pact of Negation is a strong sideboard card that can replace your Guttural Response, or it can even stand along side it and be a replacement for something else.

• Slaughter Pact Can be used instead of Dismember

• One final option is to replace some mountains with Bloodstained Mire, Blood Crypt, or Blackcleave Cliffs in order to run Tainted Strike for infect damage. If you decide to do this, remove the Assault Strobe for the Tainted Strike.

Optional Deck Changes

The Following changes aren't necessary upgrades, but are alternative options for some of the cards in the deck if you like them better.

• Titan's Strength can replace Brute Force because they do practically the same thing, but it's up to you whether you want the +2 toughness, or the scry 1.

• Nivmagus Elemental can replace Kiln Fiend. It costs 1 less, but doesn't provide as much damage or utility, since you have to exile the spells for your Elemental. If you choose to go this route, consider siding out some of the 2 cost cards for some cheaper ones. The Nivmagus Elemental can also replace your Flamekin Harbinger if you so choose.

• Noxious Revival can also be put in anywhere in the main or side, although I would recommend taking out Postmortem Lunge for it, but it isn't always better, as it can get milled away, and it isn't as fast, albeit cheaper.
