Welcome to my casual EDH deck Kickpuncher: The Kickening.

This deck is one of my Hallar, the Firefletcher decks.

This one specifically treats Hallar as more disposable while you kick or otherwise burn opponents with spells.

General strategy is to get Hallar out turn 4-6 after a bit of setup. The setup can be any combination of the following:

-Ramp until multiple kickers can be cast per turn (for maximum Hallar damage until he gets the axe)

-Various cards that will give Hallar counters the turn he is cast ( Rhythm of the Wild )

-Anything cards with replacement effects from adding counters ( Hardened Scales )

Turns 8-12 should be fishing for freecasters (defined lower) or tutoring for more gas ( Uncage the Menagerie ).

There will probably be one big turn a game where you get some combination of the following cards: Mana Geyser + Molten Disaster or Burn from Within or Deathforge Shaman

Other combinations are a cheap kicker with Neheb, the Eternal and any X burn spell.

If all else fails, KEEP KICKING LIKE YOU MEAN IT!

The big threats meant to draw opponent's ire are the following:

Kalonian Hydra

Managorger Hydra

Hexdrinker

Game enders are pretty self explanatory: Finale of Promise or Insult / Injury or Quest for Pure Flame + multiple kicks or heavy hitting burn spells

Unique custom tags are defined as follows:

Spears - spells that assist in getting damage to opponents/creatures or otherwise piercing through a defense of sorts. Red has a hard time dealing with indestructible, so I slotted in some spells that can burn through that or remove it. Same with hexproof. Also, I wanted to make sure when/if I had a potentially high damaging turn, I wouldn't get countered with a fog, so I slotted in a few unpreventable damage spells to aid the immolation nature of this deck

Commanderboon - anything that is slotted to help get consistent counters on Hallar or makes the disposable nature of him in the deck a bit easier to swallow for recasts ( Myth Unbound )

Defensive - anything that will help to keep Hallar on the field if drawn. Having Hallar stick isn't the mainstay of the deck, but he shouldn't be allowed to die to easy removal. This tag includes hexproof, indestructible, and un-counterable spells.

Freecast - anything that allows the deck to CAST, not just copy, spells for free. In doing this, the kicker cost can still be paid (with reductions as well like Ruby Medallion ) and frees up mana with which to kick more. Freecasting is a staple in the deck due to the high cost of kicking anything, so I tried to keep higher cmc spells with lower kick costs to ensure availability of maximum mana for more kickers or anything else.
