Karador, Ghost Chieftain EDH Grave toolbox

Karador graveyard toolbox. The mantra when building this deck was two fold, firstly if I wanted to add an instant, sorcery or enchantment, try to find the creature that does the same thing. This means almost everything in the deck is a creature (55 of them!) meaning with Karador and my plethora of recursion pieces the deck has a real toolbox feel and resilience, being able to build boards quickly with my graveyard as a peusdo-hand.

Secondly I wanted no artefacts. This is partly because I'm not a fan of infinite combos and things like Ashnod's, Altar of Dementia etc are so easy to go infinite with in a deck like this. I also feel like Artefacts are very prevalent, staples in most decks, and liked the challenge of using little to none of them. Since I'm in green I have ramp and don't need mana rocks and it lets me play several board wide anti-artefact cards like Ouphe or Bane that i'm insulated from.

The biggest weakness by far is graveyard exile. That's what cards like Endurance are in the deck to help with along with Shalai, giving me the player hexproof protects me from things like Bojuka Bog or Tormods crypt exiling my entire graveyard.

A couple combos to mention in the deck are Altisaur and Selfless spirit. Making the Dino indestructible and then fight things one by one is a one-sided board wipe. Dryad of the Ilysian grove is quite important as it's my only method of turning on Emeria, because if you notice there are not 7 plains in the deck. My main win condition at the moment it using Zopandrel to double the size of my board, however with Ratadrabik I can often get multiple copies of Zopandrel out often quadrupling my creatures power. Ratadrabik is actually pretty crazy in combination with a lot of cards. Saffi, Drivnod, Zopandrel, Karador himself.

It's perpetually a WIP, I try out different cards here and there and try to update the deck whenever I get back into magic and check out the new sets I've missed. Right now I'd put it around a 7 for power level, maybe an 8.
