The deck is very resilient in setting up the win and being able to protect it. The above mention of hand control allows us to limit the chances that your opponents are able to interact with the win.

Being in Grixis allows us to have the necessary counterspell protection or removal should an opponent get through and try to interact with our win.

Note: Whirlpool Warrior is in the deck for Timetwister because I don't own a Twister and need the wheel effect without sacrificing CMC for Ad Nauseam .
