Creature (1)

One of my favourite YouTube Channels "The Commander's Quarters" pitched an idea of Kenrith as a creature cycling recursion Archetype with the new companion Zirda in mind. Sicne I loved the idea I am theorycrafting a bit in this list. What I did is, that I took all the creatures that were mentioned in the pitch and added some cycling creatures which I thought would work fine in the list. Then since we play around recursion I added some sac outlets and some cards with activated abilities that somehow offer an aristocrats-esque style with Syr Konrad for the classic aristocrat style and purphoros for the damage when creature recursion happens. Also I added a few backup wins to creature damage+aristocrat playstyle by adding a tainted pact+jace combo(thassa's on the one hand is even cheaper for the insta win and on the other hand doesn't have an activated ability), a few infinites (Kinnan+Monolith+Thrasios for the classic Thrasios draw your whole deck thingy; Breya+Ashnods+Nim Deathmantle(Mantle+Ashnods offering a lot of value in combination with the whole recursion theme anyway+breya's ability only costing 1 sacrifice instead of 2mana+sac is neat); Dramatic Scepter+either thrasios, kenrith or kinnan)...This way the decks strongest win cons are basically not about the actual cycling archetype, but I first wanted to build a list fitting the competitive environment I usually play in, rather than fully committing to the cycling theme. I will make another list in which I fully commit to the cycling theme, but I yet have to figure out a way to either make it strong enough to fit my group or talk my group into some more chill power levels so some cycling shenanigans could work out just fine. One way I thought off to make the cycling build worthwile is some kind of stacks-oriented build which profits off the recursions of my creatures and gives combo decks a hard time comboing off, but that's all jsut in my head so far.

As a conclusion to this list and how I built it so far, I would say having so many wincons might be a bit all over the place sicne it's not really optimized to win in one specific way but rather has some easy combos as a backup for the actual game plan. Therefore the overall list probably won't make it to the strongest lists I am playing but I want to try it out and see how it goes.

I switched a bunch of cards. Now you can use Cycling of creatures to get through your library quicker, revive them using Kenrith or Tasigur, Sac them and use one of the infinite mana generation-combos to sink it into kenrith ability+using a sac outlet and one of the "aristocrat" abilities of e.g. Syr Konrad or Goblin Bombardment to drain your opponents. "Alternate" or arguably easier win cons are Kinnan+Monolith+Ballista for an infinite Power+Toughness Ballista, Zirda+Monolith+Ballista(similar functionality), dramatic scepter+Mana rocks+Kenrith Draw ability to mill opponents...However I got rid of the idea of a thassas/jace/lab maniac wincon, since I feel there is even less counterplay to those combos than there is to the ones, that I included and my playgroup not being a fan of Thassa's anyway made it obvious to not include this combo anyway.
