This is a deck I've been trying to work on as apart of a Kaya, Orzhov Usurper exile deck. Yet of course the only way to go about exiling everything in standard also means you will need to have an alternative win-con while building up that exile list from your opponets grave.

Alot of people disregard Kaya, I honestly found that she is in fact a viable Planeswalker but you have to build the deck to work solely around her and an alternative con for her to work properly.

Kaya is actually a really fun Planeswalker because of three things:

Starting off that she only costs 3 mana is really nice, by then a couple creatures to defend her should be out by then, presumably ones with Afterlife or feared ones like Orzhov Enforcer .

As for her abilities:

  1. Exile 2 cards from a single graveyard. Why is this good? Because of her last ability and so that you can prevent graveyard abilities and the like from being used. Anything exiled, dares to stay exiled.

  2. Not the greatest but, exile anything but only one thing with converted mana cost 1. Its ok but the main use for this would be against some aggro decks with low costing creatures that utilize many 1 mana costs. However the -1 part of her ability doesn't seem worth it, on certain token decks, it can work decent enough.

  3. The primary focus of her abilities is getting her up to -5 or beyond, I say beyond because the more you exile with her first ability, the better the final one becomes. Her final ability allows her to not only deal damage to your opponet based on their exiles but heal you in the process. Combine the exiles you'll get from cards like Consecrate / Consume or possibly Ethereal Absolution and yet of course Kaya, Orzhov Usurper and that is a power to fear. Don't forget that on top of this ability you should have some creatures to attack and defend for her that allows her ability to become usable. By then, the opponet should be at a decent loss for Kaya to finish them off (Unless its life-gain or they don't play to many things outside of sorceries/instants then that rather disrupts the exile process)

Final thoughts: I enjoy Kaya alot as a Planeswalker and as though she may not be the greatest, she is definitely viable. Just be sure to have an alternative win-con alongside exiling. Hope you enjoy the deck and any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thanks for checking out the deck :)
