Removed Well of Lost Dreams —Jan. 7, 2019
if you are wondering where Well of Lost Dreams is.... I had to cut it. It never paid off in its four months of play. The times where I had it out, the situation never afforded me enough mana left over from the life gained.
In a Magical Christmas Land scenario, I can see WoLD drawing almost your entire deck with a Reliquary tower plus a Neheb or Mana Geyser. In reality, I ended up having to make a really tough choice: (1)Spending my leftover mana for drawing maybe a single card or two or (2)pumping that leftover mana into those big 'X spells" that win games and wipe boards. Sadly, the Well of Lost Dreams lived up to its name... a lost dream indeed....
Instead of Well of Lost Dreams, I went with Gamble since the price dropped due to being reprinted recently in UMA.

What about Gisela, Blade of Goldnight? doubles damage you do and halfs what you take.

Light on the creature slots, I would actually consider her as an alternate commander for this deck.

Personally I think, that she's better than Protector of the Crown. Win-con vs maybe draw.

Protector of the crown is also damage protection, and the monarch is like a form of evasion on its own. The deck also could use all the card draw it can get, and it's gravy on top of the protection and political factor.

Good combo! It is symmetrical, and would need to be careful that it doesn't backfire.

My buddy runs this commander and utilizes Pariah, Stuffy Doll, Boros Reckoner, and Spitemare in his build which is hilarious with Star of Extinction and Blasphemous Act
He's also running a really crazy combo with Volcano Hellion and Arcbond on a random creature or one of the other 3 creatures paired with either a Basilisk Collar or Nearheath Pilgrim it's quite hilarious to say the least and always comes out of nowhere
