"Kamehamehaaa!!!" - Firesong and Sunspeaker

Commander / EDH* Burn Lifegain RW (Boros)

AtrusOfMyst

This is a 4 player Firesong and Sunspeaker deck built for dealing huge damage while incidentally gaining huge amounts of life.

Your typical game plan is a slow build up toward casting F&S before unleashing a huge KAMEHAMEHA of damage; hitting your opponents and their creatures, wiping the board into oblivion and bringing your life total into the triple digits from the damage incurred.

Cast some of the craziest 'X' fireball spells in the game of Magic after generating mana explosively with cards like Mana Geyser or Treasonous Ogre.

Copy your huge spells for extra value with cards like Dualcaster Mage or Increasing Vengeance.

Dualcaster Mage + Twinflame is a combo that makes infinite Dualcaster Mages! Flood the board with an army of 2/2's, swing, then burn them all up.

Evil Laugh

Double down with damage doubling effects like Insult, then throw a SPIRIT BOMB on the battlefield... 40 damage to EACH creature with Star of Extinction.

Do your opponents like to play with fancy non-basic lands? Why not hit everyone in the face with their own lands with a surprise Price of Progress?

Tired of watching your opponents ramping while you sit back and play one land per turn? Acidic Soil is here to deal one damage to each player for each land they control for the low price of 3 mana.

Chef's Kiss

There are a few modest token generators to keep a few chumps up to block your opponents or serve as fodder for your lifelinking spells. Don't expect to win during combat, but if ignored, Assemble the Legion and Monastery Mentor can get out of hand after a few turns.

Azor's Gateway is a fun minigame in that if you do somehow get it to flip without your opponents blowing it up first, you could potentially be adding HUNDREDS of mana to your Mana pool by tapping Sanctum of the Sun. All this is gravy for a 1 mana 'loot' effect in colors that naturally need more ways to get rid of excess lands in your hand. Alternates for consideration are Scroll Rack and Sensei's Divining Top since both are much more efficient at accomplishing this (without the carrot-on-a-stick of Sanctum of the Sun).

If high-risk / high-reward style of play excites you, then you would love this deck. Nuke the board, gain hundreds of life, rinse-repeat.

if you are wondering where Well of Lost Dreams is.... I had to cut it. It never paid off in its four months of play. The times where I had it out, the situation never afforded me enough mana left over from the life gained.

In a Magical Christmas Land scenario, I can see WoLD drawing almost your entire deck with a Reliquary tower plus a Neheb or Mana Geyser. In reality, I ended up having to make a really tough choice: (1)Spending my leftover mana for drawing maybe a single card or two or (2)pumping that leftover mana into those big 'X spells" that win games and wipe boards. Sadly, the Well of Lost Dreams lived up to its name... a lost dream indeed....

Instead of Well of Lost Dreams, I went with Gamble since the price dropped due to being reprinted recently in UMA.
