Deck verified current as of 3/30/20. The maybeboard is the current 'consideration' list and includes all wants/maybes up to Commander 2018. I've also kept a lot of the past 'beasts' on the maybeboard to reflect where this deck came from. Generally, I am happy where this deck is, but I always welcome suggestions. Great suggestions will be added to the maybeboard. (and probably play-tested) Sometimes you just get that under-performing card and want a quick swap out idea.

The Deck

This deck is intended to satisfy that all around wholesome feeling you get when you want to summon your inner hippie, play , and go into full on HULK SMASH! Kamahl, Fist of Krosa just jives so well and also offers mono-green a pinch of board manipulation regarding your's OR your opponent's lands.

All in all, this deck derives its being from multiple inspirations:

1) Nostalgia - I had a killer beast deck back in Onslaught that I had tons of fun playing. I wanted to re-create it with a modern twist. Clearly the beast theme is all but gone, but its always there in spirit!

2) Love for Mono-Green - Mono-green, unlike other colors, has never fallen out of style for me. Sometimes I despise mono-white, sometimes I don't want to play mono-blue, etc. But mono-green never gets old.

3) Mono-Green control - Kamahl, Fist of Krosa <-- Have you seen this guy? SO MUCH POTENTIAL!

Card Choices

This was conceived as a beast tribal deck and has since undergone a lot of 'modifications'. The remaining beasts are a scattered mix of nostalgia, awesomeness, random utility abilities, and staples. Suggestions/additions ALWAYS welcome.

Ramp:

Farhaven Elf, Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger, Explosive Vegetation, Hunting Wilds, Wood Elves, Nature's Lore, Rampant Growth, Skyshroud Claim, Gaea's Touch, Vernal Bloom, Growing Rites of Itlimoc  , Gauntlet of Power, Caged Sun, Harrow, Mana Reflection, Doubling Cube, Ranger's Path, Nissa, Worldwaker, Joraga Treespeaker, Garruk Wildspeaker, Nissa's Pilgrimage, Bear Umbra, Zendikar Resurgent, Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx, and Sakura-Tribe Elder serve as ramp for pure mana awesomeness. 30 mana means +18/+18 and Trample for all of my creatures. Not to mention also, ramp that puts lands into play become potential 1/1's. This ramp is insane.

Card Draw:

Skullclamp, Rishkar's Expertise, Garruk, Primal Hunter, Shamanic Revelation, Zendikar Resurgent, Mouth / Feed (Hint: turn your lands into creatures!), Tower of Fortunes, Garruk's Packleader, Primordial Sage, Soul of the Harvest keep the MEAN GREEN BEAST MACHINE rollin'!

Land Control:

Here is a tough spot to be in. Everyone hates land destroy so use wisely. Maze of Ith, Rogue's Passage, etc all need to be dealt with. But blowing up someone's basics won't make you any friends. Use caution with this final card package...

Nacatl War-Pride, Master of the Wild Hunt, Ulvenwald Tracker, Ezuri's Predation, and Pounce all have AWESOME synergy with Kamahl, Fist of Krosa's first ability when it comes to dealing with lands. Again, use wisely.

Beastmaster Ascension - Its awesome AND the name alone. There have been a few times I have turned lands into creatures, attacked with them, then triggered the Ascension making them 6/6's. 'Beastmaster' = Kamahl

There are just so many cards that synergize that its too much to keep listing.

THE END

Thats all folks. This deck was made for stompin' and thats about all it'll do! This BEAST can churn out 100+ damage turn 7/8 easy if left unchecked... Just a good ole fashioned Smash-yo-face machine. Please playtest and/or +1 Upvote if you liked it!

Actual game example: Last night I played and dealt 111 trample damage on turn 6. While its not typical, its not that hard to pull off.
