Kaalia EDH. Tutor Beatdown. Death From Above and Below...

The basic premise of the deck is simple. Get Kaalia of the Vast onto the field and start dropping bombs. The heavy removal is set to oppress your opponents, while taking advantage of the open mana (I don't need it as much to cast creatures with her on the field).

Here's a brief explanation of certain key creatures and spells. Few are somewhat for control, such as Balefire Dragon , Grand Abolisher and Iona, Shield of Emeria while others like Mother of Runes and Avacyn, Angel of Hope act as protection. Swiftfoot Boots and Lightning Greaves give Kaalia Haste so she can bring out creatures that much faster. Both the Boots and Greaves grant Hexproof for additional protection from removal. Quicksilver Amulet is another way to get creatures in play if Kaalia is incapacitated, while avoiding the high CMC of a majority in the deck.

The most basic wincons, besides using overwhelming force, are the specific combos included in the build. For example, Kaalia of the Vast with Master of Cruelties is a one shot finisher. Scry and Cycling lands can help find cards. For example, using a Scry Land such as Temple of Triumph with a Bounce Land like Rakdos Carnarium allows controlled draws for two turns without getting too far behind on land drops/mana curve. The combo uses the Scry, bounces it back to your hand to be used again. I've also included lands and cards that have Cycling to either be used for an early mana base or pitch for a draw. Whenever I use this deck, my playgroup hates on me immediately.
