Added Quicksilver amulet for more options to put creatures quickly onto the field. With the banning of Griselbrand I've moved him into the side board and added back in kokusho to the mainboard. With the release of Return to Ravnica also added Angel of Serenity, Rakdos Lord of Riots, Dreadbore, Utvara Hellkite, Chromatic Lantern, and Vandalblast.Still looking to acquire a Damnation but other than that have no further changes planned until the release of Gatecrash.
Comments and feedback are always welcome :)
What I've found is that platinum angel doesn't "win" me the game, per say. It might be useful in a few select situations to prevent losing but it is far to susceptible to artifact removal I've found. Nearly every EDH deck runs substantial amounts of artifact removal given the nature of the format and the number of artifacts found in EDH decks. I'd rather drop a critter that is only a target for creature removal that will maim, directly obstruct and impede, or outright win for me. I'd challenge you to make me a counter argument with a card to be replaced by platinum angel though. I'd be interested to consider it and see.
Thank you :)
I play both 1v1 and multi. It plays well in both settings.multi requires more patience and use of the utility cards and board wipes but it is still totally viable.
I just finished a Kaalia deck too. Enjoy your theme. With 24 creatures, do you feel as though there's any slowness? This is the first EDH deck I've made and I'm trying to get a sense of how they play.
Hmm, I usually don't find it to be an issue using only 24. I've tried to make it so that each of the 24 puts me as close to game winning as possible so as to maximize bang for my buck. Also, there is enough tutoring to fish out one of the real game winners pretty consistently. I typically find myself in one of two situations: I can drop Kaalia early with some form of evasion (greaves, etc.) and drop a potential game winner, or, I bide my time board wiping and not being a threat until I have a board state favorable to me and then drop Kaalia and any number of horrible big things :p
Your deck needs more evasion, in my opinion. You have tons of big nasty things, but very little in the way of protecting Kaalia long enough to get them into play. Just my thoughts at a glance :)
