Uril, the Miststalker is a crazy fast, resilient aggro deck, and I'm here to tell you all about it.

Most of the cards in this deck fall into a few different categories. All of my creatures are for ramp, utility (i.e. card draw/recovery), or protection, and the same goes for the instants and sorceries, with the addition of tutors.

I currently run a high amount of ramp cards. This is because getting Uril out on turn 3 can be very difficult for your opponents to deal with, and even turn 4 is a big threat. Running 15+ ramp spells makes turn 4 practically a guarantee and turn 3 happen very often.

The more interesting part of this deck, though, is the enchantments.

Because of Uril's hexproof, we don't have to worry about targeted removal. This is his strongest quality, and will win you many games. However, cards like Shielded by Faith and Shield of the Oversoul make him nearly unremovable. Other aura cards give evasion (trample, flying, protection from creatures) or power buffs/utility abilities like lifelink.

Enchantment tutors are invaluable for Uril, especially to deal with your opponent's deck choices. Facing a control deck? Fetch out a City of Solitude or Sterling Grove. Need to respond to board wipes? Grab a Shield of the Oversoul or Gift of Immortality. Are you facing another aggro deck? No problem, you can outrace and one-shot them with Angelic Destiny and your choice of Battle Mastery or Runes of the Deus .

The one infinite combo in the deck is Bear Umbra /Sword of Feast and Famine combined with Aggravated Assault. This gives infinite combat steps, providing you have at least 5 lands in play. This combo is fairly easy to assemble due to the high amount of tutors and enchantress-style card draw the deck runs.

Living Wish is a new addition I'm trying out in the deck. It's mostly there to hate out any opposing decks that hose ours, most importantly Sigarda, Host of Herons and Selfless Spirit .

In conclusion, Uril, the Miststalker will come out quickly, give your opponents a tough time, and quite often pull off a win despite being the target.

This deck is constantly being improved, so if the concept intrigued you, please check back another time!

Alter is by my friend Blake Dorywalski.

To-Do List: Cavern of Souls, Mana Crypt, Horizon Canopy, Mox Diamond , remaining fetches, Strip Mine and Wasteland after I get fetches, filters.

Updates Add

I've updated my sideboard to accommodate cards for Living Wish. The board is mostly hatebears with specific uses. I'm still running Gaddock Teeg, Grand Abolisher, and Silent Arbiter mainboard because I believe they're good in almost every matchup. If you have any suggestions for this board, please let me know!
