Sideboard

About the name: This is a "knock off" version of the original junk list with an aggressive plan so it's a junk deck that beats face. It is also a cheaper version of an expensive and popular deck, like knock off Beats by Dre are. However, this deck isn't trash. Actually really good versus traditional junk, jund, and creature based strategies.

This isn't ultra budget, but doenst rely on the super expensive cards most junk lists do. This deck also is trying to compete in the tier 1.5 - 2 range. Rather than traditional grindy junk, this plays similar to a G/W aggro deck with black slashed for rhino and souls. T1, the goal is to disrupt their hand or play birds, setting yourself up for a T2 Loxodon Smiter or Kitchen Finks. The removal solid, with 4 paths, 3 decays, 2 push, and 1 pulse, but vs. some matchups where we need more threat removers, Qasali Pridemage can be a versatile Naturalize and there is plenty of sideboard removal. While playing this deck, keep in mind that the #1 way to win IS TO BEAT IN THEIR FACE. with 9 4+ toughness creatures (10 if you count gideon) and 9 recurring threats (voice, souls, and finks), your opponent will be hard pressed to stop the barrage of hits on their life total.

Matchups:

Jund: This is a favorable one, as they try to win through 1 for 1 top tier removal, and your threats take 2 + cards to remove them. When they drop lili game 1, just laugh at their face as they tick her to 4 loyalty and you get a free Wilt-Leaf Liege or Loxodon Smiter.

Affinity: This matchup is pretty easy too, as lingering souls and efficient removal whittles away their explosive start. Play defensively until they are in topdeck mode, the finish the job with a souls army or smiter, rhino and CO. games 2 and 3 are even easier with stony silence out of the side plus fracturing gust. Playing either of those is almost certainly gg. Also make sure to side in Blessed Alliance, as Etched Champion is really hard to kill, and a good affinity players will make sure all 4 are in their deck after g1.

Eldrazi Tron: This one is actually not too great, as their creatures are bigger than ours for the most part (unless we have a liege or two out). Try to kill them quickly because most of their topdecks are also better, especially if its a karn or ugin. Land a rhino or smiter ASAP to take care of their Thought-Knot Seer and use path on everything bigger. For games 2 and 3, side out a decay or two, in blessed alliance (for Reality Smasher), in elspeth, in stony silences if they seem to be running lots of Walking Ballistas, Basilisk Collars, and Batterskulls. Plus stony silence hoses Expedition Map if you are on the play, drop it t2 when they played t1 map. I'd also take out some voices or finks, as they are too small to help very much. When dealing with reality smasher, a blowout play can be to path or pulse it and discard liege or smiter, because those guys will have their discard clause trigger and u end up 2 for 1-ing them rather than the other way around.

rest is WIP.

Special thanks to Nascar and the others on discord for tweaking it with me
