So... apparently, I have an irrational love of "Banding". Not just because it's strong (although that's a large part of it) but because it's so ridiculous in terms of both mechanics and flavour. I stumbled upon the Bandland cycle (here represented by Unholy Citadel and Adventurers' Guildhouse ) and instantly thought "this is what I want to do with Kresh". The deck already had a tonne of Legendary creatures in it, so why not?

Although the banding is something that's fun to get going, the deck works fine without it. It rarely enters the foray and even more rarely becomes relevant. Still, the deck performs pretty solidly, even if it has mana troubles at times...

EDIT: at the advice of my good friend (a very competent and competitive EDH player) a lot of the flashy spells have been removed for utility cards. After all, in a proper environment, the deck needs ways of protecting itself.
