This is a deck idea I had today. It's kind of like a mixture between superfriends and jund aggro. Garruk supplies the creatures and some removal. Chandra destroys weenies and makes your kill spells rediculous (doubling ability). Liliana destroys their plans and board presence.
Creatures:Vampire Nighthawk kills off cheap flyers, is a strong little beatdown creature, and replenishes your life.
Mayor of Avabruck Flip , only thought of as a human or werewolf lord, is also a beast in a control type build. The common joke about control is the "land for turn, pass" that control does so often, and it works wonderfully for getting him flipped. He usually flips within two turns of playing him(both players turn) and throws out 3/3s.
Zealous Conscripts is just a wonderful hulk of a creature. She steals the biggest thing on the field or if there isn't much to choose from steal a planeswalker or artifact. She's even a strong creature herself. She's essentially a 3/3 haste body for 2(with Act of Treason on her back).
Thundermaw Hellkite .... if I have to explain to you that this creature is good then your delusional
i had an idea the other day for a Jund control deck specifically designed to poop all over W/U delver decks. this is very similar to what i came up with
Nope never had a problem getting double black. I have 13 lands that make it and 3 that can search for it. I love geth's verdict because hexproof is a very prominent mechanic in many decks. I would use black sun but i dont have it and the problems it presents like you said r annoying. I have my two sweeper cards made to go around me cuz I either have a few wolf tokens to sac to barter and they dont have many creatures already, or all my creatures surviving whipflare is very good(if mayor isnt flipped itll die but that rarely is the case). Bonfire is just so freaking expensive. I don't know if I could even afford 1 let alone 4. I'm going to be borrowing the lilis and i only got 1 hellkite so ya. Thanks for the view and +1 though!
@samuel: haha yep. All the sacrifice and mass removal goes around those pesky Geist of Saint Trafts.
I would put Huntmaster of the Fells Flip in place of Mayor of Avabruck Flip . It not only spawns tokens (although not 3/3 like the mayor), but also gains life and blasts both creatures and opponent. Like bonfire, it's also very expensive, though.
With a more budget-friendly approach, Daybreak Ranger Flip is also underratedly awesome, allowing you to kill flipped delvers before flipping, and much stuff more afterwards.
Of course, if you put in the huntmaster and/or the ranger, then the mayor makes more sense. I guess it depends on your local metagame.
Chandra, the Firebrand is pretty lacklustre, as is Shimian Specter and Despise . (In the main deck at least for the later two.)
Huntmaster of the Fells Flip is pretty much an auto include, as should Olivia Voldaren . In a midrange controlling deck of this fashion, they can really control the board. Faithless Looting also gains no value in this deck.
What is clear is that your in need of more black mass removal, I'm also pretty sure some instant speed burn or red sweepers wouldn't go a miss either. card:Geth's Verdict's double black is a little awkward, I would try Tribute to Hunger . Life gain is worth the extra cost in a deck like this. As much as I like Barter in Blood , card:Black Sun's Zenith will be just a little better, simply because you usually don't need to cast it for more than three. Barter is still pretty good in the sideboard though for control/midrange mirrors.
Have a look at the ISD block constructed Jund lists to get some ideas.
Ok everyone please stop talking down Chandra. I'm sure you have your reasons for thinking she's not very good, but hear me out. She's my favorite planeswalker in this build. I don't think you realize how much of the format is based on 1/1s, and her doubling ability is devastating. Doubling any killspell or boardwipe is just so awesome. I pay two mana to wipe their board and then automatically pump out some rediculous creatures on the same turn. She's also the only 'walker ive ever been able to set off their ultimate (pretty easily). I keep them distracted with the other two, some nice creatures, and some killspells where needed and then BOOM clear the field and take down their life alot.
The value of faithless looting is getting exactly what you need. I know there is no card advantage but its a 1drop spell to have what I need in my hand. I can't think of a better draw spell in standard right now. Sign in Blood is a thought but its a clunky draw spell. And once again, I've never had any problems getting the double black for geth's verdict. It's the majority of my mana base. I don't want any more costly removal then I have to. I may switch that at rotation though(I was already planning on it).
If you like Chandra's Asecond abilitie, I would recomend you Volt Charge . It lets you copy the spell for free!
xjulisanx, I just finally understood what your saying, but even then Volt Charge isn't good on its own and its a very clunky burn spell. I'd rather just lose the 2 counters and autokill at least two creatures no matter how powerful they are.
Don't forget the new shock lands! And huntsmaster and olivia.
Oh yeah, mainbaord dreadbore.

I'd suggest card:Black Sun's Zenith instead of Barter in Blood but i suppose with so many creatures that's not a good idea. Also, do ever have trouble getting the 2 black for card:Geth's Verdict? I think Doom Blade , Murder or Pillar of Flame would be much better.
Liliana of the Veil is much worse without other discard effects or graveyard abuse. Same goes for Faithless Looting .
Put in at least one more Thundermaw Hellkite and 4 Bonfire of the Damned ! Bonfire is too amazing to be omitted!
I suggest removing a Chandra, the Firebrand or two. It's just not great without flashy instants or sorceries. Although i suppose it kills unflipped Delvers and mana dorks, so...
Finally, I suggest bringing the Despise and Whipflare count up to 4 each.
In any case, +1 from me, it's a cool idea for a deck.
