Welcome to the way magic was meant to be played... JUND! This deck hits all the classics of magic, dropping some big heavy hitters, and killing your opponents creatures, not to mention making your opponents discard!I've been playing Jund Energy for a little over a month now and it is fantastic. I have answers to all tier 1 decks right now and am going 3-0 almost every single night.

CREATURES

  • Glint-Sleeve Siphoner is a solid drop. A 2/1 with menace can be easily buffed for lategame, or be an early game problem if you can disrupt their creatures. But it's best part is the draw it allows, and energy is relatively easy to acquire so just watch the life late game.
  • Greenbelt Rampager can drop as early as turn 2 if you turn 1 Attune with Aether. Is a great early game blocker against agro decks and just needs one +1 counter to activate Rhonas.
  • Longtusk Cub seems like such a small threat that can ram hard late game if you have energy piled or just keep buffing it. Overall solid card
  • Rhonas the Indomitable is great. he can become active turn 4 or 5 but his ability is great when you need to push in damage with an already buffed creature. He just adds a huge threat to the board if he gets active and makes your opponents focus on him.
  • Rishkar, Peema Renegade is another great 3 drop. He can buff your creatures which can activate Rhonas, or allow for that last bit of mana you need if your not drawing the right colors.
  • Verdurous Gearhulk is great late game. He adds so much power to the board late and is a threat himself by being a 4/4 with trample.
  • Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet is a phenomenal 4 drop in this deck. Im running 9 removal spells with more sideboarded and big creatures that they are going to block, so trust me, your going to get a bunch of zombies out no problem.
  • Prowling Serpopard is so amazing right now. It shuts down counters, activates Rhonas the Indomitable and with counters being huge right now just really helps the deck stay powerful.
  • Sylvan Advocate is just a green essential. Early game it hits for 2 and can block, as well as late game it gets huge and then powers up Hissing Quagmire to make it a 4/4 with deathtouch

SORCERY

  • Attune with Aether in here for the energy and land fetch so you get the mana you need. Also it activates Greenbelt Rampager turn 2 which can never hurt!
  • Driven / Despair is so great in this deck. It give you mid game hand refill as well as with all the removal you can make it so they cant block any of your creatures and next thing you know their hand is empty thanks to despair!

INSTANT

  • Fatal Push is a must have removal spell as it is crucial to stopping early aggro decks. Dont be afraid to trade a small unimportant creature to take out one of their big hitters.
  • Abrade is another great kill spell, as well as the fact that I can hit artifact if I go against MARDU game one.
  • Harnessed Lightning is another great kill. You get a decent amount of energy and if you store it up then you can just hit their creature with a greater mana cost than 4.

PLANESWALKER

  • Nissa, Voice of Zendikar is great in this deck. originally I had her side boarded but that changed fast. She just seems like a more versatile Rishkar right now. For 3 I can drop a 0/1 when she enters and then once I have a strong creature base on turn 4 I can bump then all with a +1/+1, and the next turn do the same. Or if I need an army of blockers that I don't care about, her tokens do the trick!
  • Chandra, Flamecaller is great late-game because she can add power to the board that your opponents are forced to deal with, as well as if you have an empty hand or top deck a land you can get an extra draw. Finally her minus X is great against zombie decks because she can board wipe them, but our creatures are usually big enough to have a couple key one survive.
  • Chandra, Torch of Defiance is great in this deck. She creates a huge turn 4 threat and hits everything you need. Top deck a land late game? she can give you another draw. need some mana? she can help with that. You want another zombie? she's got you. Plus her emblem isn't too bad I guess!

SIDEBOARD

Honestly I think that my sideboard is pretty self explanatory. I think that my deck can take any match up game 1 except Mardu Vehicles, but with a proper sideboard I can even take those games. So I honestly don't have set switch outs and figure it out based on the match up.

Thank you all so much for spending your time reading and helping out. Suggestions are always welcome!!! I would finally like to give a huge shout out to Argy the deck god who really helped me out with this deck!
