STANDARD CAN BE EXPENSIVE...

Especially when the other formats drive the prices up. This is why I like to create and run budget decks for FNMs. I am never going to win any grand prixs but I have fun being competitive with pack fillers. Enter this deck! This is my token and counter generator deck that is pretty lethal when played correctly. This deck is extremely versatile when it comes to aggro options, it has a nice mixture of midrange creatures and token generator to swing wide. And this the constant fluctuation of -1/-1 counters, it becomes pretty easy to manipulate the board presence in your favor.

The MAYBE LIST is set up for you to have a quick look at the non-budget options for this deck that you might have or want to run as well as a few other cards that work well for the synergy but didn't make the final decklist cut.

CREATURES

Ammit Eternal - This is a big body that hits on T3 and triggers all the synergy abilities in this deck.

Channeler Initiate - Mana stabilizer that is a magnet for the -1/-1 you have to put on your creatures.

Crocodile of the Crossing - This is a big, hasty body that is an immediate threat on T4 and also triggers the -1/-1 synergy.

Decimator Beetle - Another midrange attacker that helps distribute the -1/-1 counters on the battlefield to help swing the board presence in your favor.

Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons - The star of the deck! this little lady lets you produce tokens at a stupid quick pace because no matter what spell in this deck you play, you are getting a 1/1 snake token.

Obelisk Spider - Another synergy creature that helps stabilize your life while pinging your opponents. Typically I can fluctuate the life totals in a game by 8-10 points in my favor.

SPELLS

Blur of Blades - Not only does this trigger my -1/-1 synergy, but it shocks my opponent, ummm VALUE!

Consuming Fervor - This is an aura that triggers my synergy with every turn.

Cut / Ribbons - This spell not only helps me clear away a creature but wins the game for me more often than not. People always forget about Ribbons until its thrown in their face.

Lethal Sting - Yet another triggering spell and this one helps clear the fatties away!

Uncage the Menagerie - This spell is a one of because it can help reestablish my board presence after a boardwipe, there are a lot of them in standard now and days.

SIDEBOARD

Uncage the Menagerie - need another copy for control decks.

Bontu's Monument - this can help me keep up with other, faster aggro decks.

By Force - the best artifact removal in standard.

Claim / Fame - this card is for when there is too much hate for Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons in the opponents deck. I side this in to keep the token generation going.

Dispossess - combo hate for those decks that run with artifacts.

Lethal Sting - another copy just in case.

Lost Legacy - more combo hate, or if there is a specific card that you cant get around. Well now you can!

Trespasser's Curse - Since monument decks are top 8 out of 10 right now, might as well make them pay for trying to swing wider than you!
