Jori Combo/Control

Commander / EDH

CommieLlama

Jori En, Ruin Diver: An attempt to build a storm deck that can play nice with others. Though I'm pushing this to have streamlined and consistent win conditions, at a slower table, this deck does not by any means need to feel oppressive. Jori is a much less intimidating commander than, say, Mizzix of the Izmagnus, and with the amount of removal, card draw, counterspells, and ramp, we can do a decent impression of a control list.

You like doing math, and optimization problems are fun.

You think creatures are lame and board stalls are boring.

You want a more subtle commander.

You want to play storm, but a Grixis manabase of high enough quality to run High Tide makes you sad.

You want to play storm, but a glass cannon approach is unappealing.

You like beating face with creatures.

You're allergic to counterspells.

You don't like the idea of a 5+ minute turn.

You want a commander that's a must-stop threat.

You like to play with the most optimal version of your chosen archetype.
