i've had a 5-color commander deck for years with Cromat as the commander. you can see it here: Weatherlight Legends.

while it was a fun deck it suffered from a bad mana-base. This time around i have upgraded the commander and upgraded the mana-base to just shy of where it needs to be.

i'll do my best to illustrate how the deck works and things i'll consider changing as time goes on

Goals and strategy of the deck

Goal(s)

This decks goal currently is to get the base mana for Jodah, Archmage Eternal and cheat out as many cards as fast as possible to overwhelm your opponents.

Specifically these cards only serve to "cheat" them into play, either by making them cheaper, or doing a swap. A tutor, while nice doesn't count, as they only serve to either put the desired card(s) in your hand or on top of your library.

other interesting strategies

i found out that Crystalline Crawler paired with Jodah, Archmage Eternal is really nice. when you pay for Crystalline Crawler using Jodah's ability it comes into play with 5 +1/+1 counters instead of four since you are choosing to pay the casting cost with , instead of .

combining Worldspine Wurm with Hedron Matrix will net you a creature that is already a 15/15 and makes it a 26/26 with trample, then combine that with Blackblade Reforged, and with a minimum of 5 lands to cheat it into play, your looking at a 31/31 with trample. with many of the cards in the deck you can combine the two equipment with any of them to see huge gains.

Other Concerns

There are quite a few cards that i can't use due to the fact that Legend or Legendary is no longer a subtype, but now a supertype, so cards like Cryptic Gateway, Belbe's Portal, Vanquisher's Banner, really don't help me since the "tribe" i'm after doesn't adhere to any creature types that I use currently.

I went the path of not using any of the signets or stones as they become an issue when trying to get my mana together. Instead of providing me with filtering, they just got in the way of being able to do other things.
