This is my take on Jhoira of the Ghitu Group Hug, with a few ridiculous win conditions, and potential ways to screw my opponents out of some of that group hug effect (hello, Phasing...).

This deck has progressed from a Niv-Mizzet, Dracogenius-led "Izzet Goodstuff" deck, to Jhoira of the Ghitu Chaos, to this. I decided I didn't really like the chaos effects so much, because while I personally love mass chaos effects, I also recognize that it annoys the hell out of some people, too. Group hug, on the other hand, is a little harder to hate on, if I'm helping you draw additional cards, or gain additional mana/utility out of your lands, right?
Of course, the one chaos effect I feel like I had to leave in for flavor's sake, was Teferi's Puzzle Box, since this deck is also an ode to my favorite character in MtG lore, Teferi. I feel like all the phasing effects in the deck should have been a clue. I mean seriously, who plays Teferi's Isle ? And in a deck with only 30 lands, too?!

Oh yeah, about that. Between Mana Flare and Braid of Fire, I feel like I should be able to generate enough mana if need be, and with a little luck, I'll be able to phase anything important out should a board wipe come along over the course of the game.

Among the silly interactions purpose-built into the deck:

Draw Your Own Death

Take your pick of Howling Mine,Otherworld Atlas, Dictate of Kruphix, Forced Fruition, either iteration of Jace, and all the other mass-card draw cards I have in here, and throw in a Black Vise for poops & giggles, and watch an opponent try to throw out as many spells as possible.

Mirror Mirror...

Mirror Universe has actually helped me...not lose a game before. Instead of coming 4th out of 4, I came 2nd. In a totally non-sexual way.

Tibalt the Terrible

Tibalt, the Fiend-Blooded. if allowed to go off at -6 in the right conditions (yeah right, I have no real defense in the deck), but considering the possibility of larger threats like Ugin, the Spirit Dragon, other players, or even simply the kindness of other players wanting to see what happens when the lowly little pain-mage is allowed to unleash his rage. I can think of at least one friend who might even protect me to allow that to happen, under the right cirumstances.

There are others, but it's late, and I'm tired. I'll update this again later. But for now...thoughts?

Updates Add

Over the months, I've slowly been thinking of how I might be able to make this deck a little more competitive, if for no other reason than it'd be really fun to see this deck finally win for once, rather than play kingmaker.

To that end, I've replaced Blace Vise with Iron Maiden and added a little more shenanigans to hurt my opponents, like with Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind. Etherium-Horn Sorceror is also kinda nice from the new Commander set, though I've yet to try this deck in this latest incarnation.

Ultimately, it's still a Jhoira group hug deck, but I'm trying to find some fun gimmicky ways to win - Iron Maiden + massive card draw is one, Pact of the Titan (and eventually Pact of Negation when I'm able to trade for one) + Hive Mind is another, as long as any opponent isn't running red and/or blue.
