Typical lifegain terribleness. Outlast the opponent's life total no matter what they do while swinging in the air for big chunks.

• The main -drop is Nip Gwyllion because it's black _and_ white and has lifelink, despite still being a -drop. Hopeful Eidolon is a backup because it can be cast as an enchantment later in the game to _give_ something lifelink that doesn't already have it.
• Mourning Thrull is famous for having an ability that duplicates lifelink, but _isn't_ actually lifelink. That means if you give Mourning Thrull lifelink, it'll gain you twice as much life as normal. It also flies, which is nice.
• Kingpin's Pet is a flying 2/2 thrull with Extort. Any time you cast another spell, spend an extra mana and the opponent loses an extra life.
• Grim Guardian pings the opponent for 1 any time an enchantment enters the battlefield under your control. Cool, because this deck uses a lot of enchantments.
• In addition to Hopeful Eidolon and grin guardian itself, this deck also uses Thrull Retainer, obviously. It's basically Totem-Armor-before-Totem-Armor-was-Totem-Armor, and fits in very thematically, as well.
• Angelic Gift not only grants flying to something that might not have it, like Nip Gwyllion, but it also draws you a card, which is always a good thing.
• Necromancer's Magemark is an interesting "lord" effect on a Common Aura. While it is out, every enchanted creature gets +1/+1, and is returned to your hand instead actually dying.
• And of course, Ethereal Armor is here to take sweet, sweet advantage of all these enchantments lying around. Give this Aura to basically any creature in this deck to turn it into a huge threat.
• Night's Whisper (and Sign in Blood, if you don't have enough Whispers, like me) is here for actual draw power. for 2 cards is pretty decent in pauper actually.
