Jeleva Multiplayer Win-Condition Denial

Commander / EDH

WilhelmTHeFirst

Tired of your local combo decks tutoring the same old Paradox Engine , Palinchron , or Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker ?

Do you delight in groans of annoyance as an important piece of interaction or land mills off the top?

What sounds better? The Chad exile-mill? or the virgin combat damage?

Why not Jeleva?

Embodying the spirit of Grixis, Jeleva, Nephalia's Scourge is one of my favorite cards. Her mind-eating effect embodies Dimir virtues, and the chaotic evil randomness of removing important elements of her opponents mind captures the red component of her persona.

She demands an answer by scaling off of your opponents power level (and any haymakers you choose to include) and each time you recast her she takes a larger and larger mind-tithe from her prey. Leaving gaps in the minds and sanity of those sneaky planeswalkers whose decks operate as a finely tuned machine.

So what this deck is: A mill deck that relies almost entirely on Jeleva, Nephalia's Scourge to do the heavy lifting. Players in large edh pods will quickly find themselves counting their library, but being forced to kill Jeleva before she casts Time Stretch or any other absurd value you hit from the tables decks. Mana rocks, powerful grixis instant and sorceries, and sac outlets to make sure Jeleva never gets stuck on the board after a whiff.

To aide our mission of suppressing combo decks, and other decks built around winning with one card. We also play Sadistic Sacrament , Extract , Denying Wind , and Jester's Cap . Sadistic Sacrament is one of our main win conditions, kicked it will effectively eliminate a player. Kicked and copied with Increasing Vengeance it wipes the tables mind as you fly, cackling, off into the distance.

We also run plenty of graveyard hate, in the form of Rakdos Charm , Nihil Spellbomb , and others to make sure as much of the opponents deck is exiled as possible.
