Trying to make a reanimator deck with Merieke Ri Berit. If it doesn't work out the way I like I'll go full Merieke-mode.

The last build was my attempt at a permission-control deck with lots of tutors and non-combat finishers. A few finishers remain in the deck. I used lots of wraths and Merieke's threat to stall the board. Worked well enough, but it was not the most fun deck to go up against. I am now a firm believer in making decks that are fun to lose to, so I found myself playing the deck less and less. "Make decks that get you invited back to the table", as they say.

The original build was just tons of Merieke enablers and other theft cards. At the time I felt it was too similar to my mono-Blue theft deck, but I recently pared back the theft elements of it, so perhaps a return to a more Merieke-focused deck is in order, if I don't like the reanimator theme. I do like how the reanimation package steals from graveyards, staying on-theme

I am running Debtors' Knell and Grave Betrayal; remember ten years ago when these were the best? This was one of my first decks so I like having older cards in it. Someone buy me a Virtue of Persistence!

The lands definitely need an upgrade. I could squeeze in some MDFCs too.
