A awesome game-ender is Possessed Portal . If you can generate new tokens every turn, and no one else in your meta has a token-themed deck, its most likely over if this card hits the field.

Other cards, which would work great with Jarad, are Beastmaster Ascension for +5 dmg for every saccing. And one of the best constant token-generators in my opinion: Bitterblossom . Maybe Squirrel Nest with Earthcraft could also be nice in here.

A card, which i normally not like too much, but might would fit in Jarad's kit nicely: Wound Reflection

hey mate, great call on the Beastmaster Ascension ! and i can't believe i forgot the Bitterblossom lol. not gonna run the Wound Reflection because my mate runs it and if it lands he gets killed lol as we don't like it either haha :-P but yes that would be amazing if the deck was for one v one or something but in the 6 ways i play it definitely results in death of the caster usually lol. adding said cards now! thanks again

Is there a reason Lord of Extinction isn't in here? it could make for a huge thing to fling with the generals ability and work well with your theme of life leech.

Sanguine Bond is always good with Exquisite Blood . Pernicious Deed is a pretty good card too in GB.

yea only prob with the Pernicious Deed is the $40 cost of it lol or i'd love it!! i forgot about lord of extinction!! i will add him right now!!not running Sanguine Blood because it will almost always be pointless without the Exquisite Blood as the life gain in the deck is minimal :-( thanks for the great suggestions! i will make mods now :-)

Hrm. Wouldn't it be wise to at least wait until RtR is released or fully spoiled? There will undoubtedly be a lot of support for Golgari and Jarad.

yea for sure mate, not ordering anything until it is released :-) I quite like how it sits right now but like you say as Jarad is RtR preview i bet a nice shiny subtheme will run through but I can build this for like $40 as I own most of the cards already luckily, im gonna proxy it up and see if it runs well before purchasing anything i think! really liking Jarad hes cool!

SplodyCopter you can let him go to grave if you want to mate, its just a risk is all :-) because i believe if he gets exiled from the graveyard he will be properly exiled from the game entirely, but i may be wrong about that but yeah if your general gets exiled with say an Oblivion Ring or gets sent to grave you don't have to send it to the general zone if you don't want to

If a general is exiled from anywhere you can choose to exile it to te command zone FYI. The only places where you don't have a choice is if it gets bounced to your hand or shuffled away. And Hatred is an instant-kill-everyone card most times, with your general out and another creature.

I believe that even if Jarad is in the graveyard and someone exiles him, you can still put him in the command zone. On mtgcommander.net:

  "Commanders will move to the library or hand as normal; only transitions to Exile or the Graveyard may be replaced.   "If a card is put into the exile zone face down from anywhere, and a player is allowed to look at that card in exile, the player must immediately do so. If it's a commander owned by another player, the player that looked at it turns it face up and puts it into the command zone.

Also, Mikaeus, the Unhallowed and Sheoldred, Whispering One would be great in this deck.

ooo yeah they are both great in this deck good catch! i have a Sheoldred, Whispering One too :-) sadly my mate runs Mikaeus, the Unhallowed as general so that is a no go 99% of the time lol. im glad that jarad's ability doesn't have mana involved as I can just bring him to my hand by saccing lands anytime. I always thought if a commander in a grave got exiled he would stay exiled..hmmm interesting if this is not so!

Nullmage Shepherd seems kinda weak with all of the board wipes in edh having 4 untapped creatures to Naturalize seems like a stretch

ok don't get me wrong with this one Visara the Dreadful is simply amazing for her cost but with all of the creatures getting dumped into your grave yard why not Avatar of Woe you should be able to get the reduced cost since they have the same tap ability for basically less cost plus avatar can't be "legend rule"ed away, even if you do keep Visara the Dreadful in i would def suggest Avatar of Woe also

with all the creatues being dumped in your graveyard Void Maw would swing for OVER NINE THOUUUUUUUUUUUSAND

you could add Living End and Living Death to flood the field with your long dead minions to be either sac-ed again or swing for the win

hey mate great suggestions! i thought that the mage would suck but this doesnt arrive until like monday so not played with it yet! i agree on the avatar and never even knew about the Void Maw problem is what do i remove for them lol?
