This is my first time ever creating a Commander deck. I didn't go out and buy these cards or invest a lot of hours methodically conspiring and constructing this. My friend told me about EDH and and I want to try it out so I went through all my left over cards that weren't already in decks and searched for a Legendary. Once I found Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord, I pulled out all the B cards and G cards that I thought went with him. I am now in the process of weeding out what I don't actually need, "killing my darlings," so to say. I severely need help. As I said, I'm just an every day table top player who plays Magic with my wife and kids as a fun hobby. I'm not emerged into the world of it (though I want to be) in such a way that I know every in and out. So I am admitting, and warning, that this deck will most likely be horribly constructed with a poor mana curve and little to no end game strategy.

With that said, I guess the main goal of this is sacrificing to pump up Jarad and cards like Swarm of Bloodflies, Blood Host, and Undergrowth Scavenger.

Currently I am trying to eliminate unnecessary cards so that I have enough slots for Lands. Right now I think it's a bit mana starved, but I tried countering that by throwing in cards like Market Festival, Seek the Horizon, Dictate of Karametra, and Elvish Mystic. I know replacing some of these with Lands might be a better fix but yea. So like I said, I'm new to EDH and not that traversed in deck building in general, let alone strategic planning when it comes to playing Magic. Most of my games are spent against my timid wife, and my 11 year old daughter who thinks she's the poster child for all Spike players.

Also, probably not needed to be pointed out as it must be painfully obvious due to my Description box, I'm also very new to TappedOut as this is my first post and first time using this site.

** I also don't know if ALL of these cards are legal persay. I only know that I just play on my dining room table. I don't go to FNM or any other tournaments. **
