Jack and the Bean Stalk (Retold in MTG)

Casual RGWU Theme/Gimmick

One_Myle

Once upon a time, Jack, the Intrepid Hero , set off with his Pillarfield Ox to the Gavony Township to sell the ox for money. On the way, he met Ertai, Wizard Adept .

"Hello, Jack." Ertai said.

"How do you know my name?" Jack asked.

"Magic," the wizard replied, "speaking of magic, would you like to trade your ox for my magic beans."

"What do they do," Jack asked hesitantly.

"They grow a great Wall of Vines that go all the way up to the sky where giants live." the wizard replied.

"Cool!" Jack exclaimed, and quickly handed the ox over for the beans.

When Jack arrived home, he showed his mother the beans.

"Look mum, magic beans, I traded the ox for them," he told her.

"You stupid boy!" she screamed at him furiously, "Go to bed."

The next morning, Jack woke up and saw a wall of vines outside his window. He quickly got dressed and ran up to the wall.

"Should I tell mother," he thought, "No, I'll let her sleep. It won't hurt to take a peek."

Jack quickly started to climb the vines. Although he almost fell off a few times, pretty soon he reached the top in the clouds. Jack jumped off the stalk and looked around, only to see a humongous Ivory Tower looming over him.

"Wow!" he shouted, and ran inside.

The inside of the tower reeked of death. Continuing forward, Jack covered his face with his sleeve to get rid of the smell. Up ahead he could see a light so he walked towards it. It lead him to a room with all sorts of treasure lying about. He was about to walk up to some of the treasure but then a Bonebreaker Giant walked right in front of him. The Giant hadn't noticed him and strolled up to a Mesa Chicken next to a Devout Harpist .

"Play harpist," the Giant yelled at the harpist, "Lay hen" the Giant commanded to the chicken.

Right after the Giant’s command, out of the chickens bum popped a Chicken Egg . The Giant smiled, took the egg and laid down, listening to the music. Pretty soon, the Giant fell asleep and Jack decided to rescue the harpist and the chicken. Slowly Jack walked up to the chicken, grabbed it, and said to the harpist "Follow me." The Giant was then awoken by the lack of sound and got up yelling; "Fee fie foe fum, I smell the blood off an Intrepid Hero . Roar!"

The Giant then charged at Jack, but before he could have a Pit Fight with him, Jack tapped himself to destroy the Giant, who's power was 4. "Run, there might be more" Jack yelled and he, the harpist and the chicken got away.

In the end, Jack and his Mother lived a great life, with lots of chicken eggs available at their command, a brilliant harpist to keep them happy with his songs, and an incredible amount of treasure up in Giant Land.
