Description

Triple D (Direct Damage Dynavolt)! A Standard Burn/Control deck to take on the current creature-heavy aggro meta. Given the direction of this deck, I feel that the 2 Trophy Mage are absolutely necessary, since having 2 or more Dynavolt Towers out is somewhat of a must to reap loads of Energy. The Thermo-Alchemist should do well too given the high amount of instant and sorcery spells. The Aether Hubs are basically just there for 1 free Energy each. I haven't thought about the SB at all yet, but some of the MB will probably make it in there.

I ran Machine Gun for a long time, before Dynavolt Tower came out. I loved the deck. My only question is about the Rise from the Tides. The card was always a bit awkward for me, main board. The times it was in my hand, and I was happy about it, were few and far between.

This is just a tentative suggestion, but you might consider putting Rise from the Tides side, and mainboarding 2 Horribly Awry?

Thanks mlucasnrke, you're probably right about that.

I agree, the rise from the tides just seem... awkward and unneeded. If i may suggest, maybe Baral, Chief of Compliance? turns harnessed into a bolt on a creature, and just all around makes everything easier to cast except your bombardment and shock. plus, free 1 in burn from within

what about Torrential Gearhulk?
and I'd also put more counterspells like Negate or Disallow – instead of Galvanic Bombardment or Shock. It's more appropriate way to get rid of tough creatures and opponent's direct damage spells

Consider Bedlam Reveler. Great source of card draw mid to late game, rarely costs more than 2 or 3 in a deck like this, and has Prowess to boot. On the flip side, if you want a more controlly option, try Niblis of Frost, especially against creature-heavy decks.
