I am having so much FUN brewing with Karn's Temporal Sundering!
So a few of us have crappy, very cheap, Mythic Planeswalkers gathering dust in our trade binders... Time to take them out, because I finally put them to use!
Nothing feels as good as ticking up Planeswalkers without threat of being attacked or losing Loyalty counters. Karn's Temporal Sundering makes you take turns, bounce things and keeping ticking up your walkers.
So the cheap dusty Planeswalkers we need in play to make Karn's Temporal Sundering work are: Saheeli Rai, Jace, Cunning Castaway and Jaya Ballard. I have 2 copies of Chandra, Torch of Defiance all ready so...
Baral, Chief of Compliance helps Karn's Temporal Sundering legend rule but also making the big awesome spells cheaper.
Removal spells are Sweltering Suns for clearing entire board and not just going one-for-one, Abrade and Fight with Fire. Fight with Fire is also one of the deck's finishers when you finally get to 9 mana with the help of Jaya Ballard and Chandra, Torch of Defiance.
Lets not forget the deck has a lot of expensive spells so Combustible Gearhulk can give a heavy punch or give us nice cards. Combustible Gearhulk also synergizes great with Saheeli Rai and gives the deck another finisher.
CHANGE: I'm going to try 1x Heart of Kiran main instead of the 2 Combustible Gearhulk
Last finisher is Chandra, Torch of Defiance ultimate.
River's Rebuke is kind of another take an extra turn spell and just a catch all (most) in a pinch.
The Sideboard has lots of counters for specific match ups, which synergizes with Baral, Chief of Compliance. And lastly when opponents take out creature removal after game one, you can slip in your last unplayed cheap legendary mythic Verix Bladewing.
