Izzet Possibilities

Standard Combo RUG (Temur)

RogueOS

Sideboard

This deck is a blue-red combo deck. The idea of the combo is to stick a Possibility Storm as early as you can, then cast a sorcery spell, storm into Enter the Infinite, draw your deck, put a Borborygmos Enraged into your library, cast an Omenspeaker, storm into Borborygmos Enraged, then fling your lands in hand to your opponents face while saying, "PEW PEW PEW PEW PEW!"

After casting Possibility Storm, it's known that you have 5 mana. The other 6 sorceries besides Enter the Infinitecast for 3 mana or less, and an Omenspeaker casts for 2, so you have enough mana to combo out the next turn (unless your opponent has a way to blow up your lands)

Some general notes about the deck:

1) If you are playing the combo, 6 other sorceries is a good number to keep. If you are against aggro, then side in the other Anger of the Gods and take out a Wild Guess/Divination.

2) The instant package is my own. The entire instant package can be switched to anything you need for your meta. Boros Reckoner is a major pain for this deck, so Agoraphobia / Claustrophobia is a decent card. If you draw another Possibility Storm with one already out, then you aren't completely dead. However, if you feel like you need more maindeck kill spells or counters, then you can change the instant count to anything you can imagine. Steam Augury is the best card available to us for digging. You can play cards like Opportunity or Blast of Genius, but they cost too much and you can get stuck with one early. Beware of the skill curve with Steam Augury ; it's a hard card to play with. You might want to think about what information you have given to your opponent beforehand. Picking a Steam Augury pile is considerably easier to your opponent than splitting Gifts Ungiven piles. The real skill of this cards in how you split the 5 cards. Turn / Burn is good against a lot of the "unkillable" cards in the format like Blood Baron of Vizkopa and Obzedat, Ghost Council.

3) Don't be afraid to use Izzet Charm as a Shock against aggro strategies. An early Shock on an Ash Zealot/Pain Seer can mean the difference between comboing out or dying the turn you plop down Possibility Storm.

4) When using Izzet Charm as a Faithless Looting or scrying, value land highly. Our priority may be finding Possibility Storm, but what good is it if we can't cast it? Once we get to 5 mana, we can start dumping lands. If you find yourself with too much land in hand, then start aiming for hardcasting Borborygmos Enraged. Even if he eats a removal spell, you can use excess lands in hand and Lightning Bolt their threats in response.

5) Be wary of what turn you play tap lands. It may seem like a no brainer, but you'd be surprised how easy it is to forget about them.

6) Archaeomancer is a good card for fetching back the sorceries you used to defend yourself or dig through your deck. Don't worry about using Anger of the Gods too early; you need to live. Archaeomancer/Elixir can get them back. If you don't like how Archaeomancer dies to Searing Blood , then it can be substituted for Mnemonic Wall, although it is considerably slower. If you want, you can even play Fated Infatuation with these cards as a synergy to swarm the board if they have no answer to it.

7) Speaking of Elixir of Immortality, dump the extra combo pieces from your hand with Izzet Charm and Wild Guess as soon as you can. They are dead in your hand.

8) Your sideboard can actually be the entire combo, and you can maindeck most of your sideboard. In game 2, you can surprise your opponent by siding in the combo. AEtherling is a good enough card on it's own to win, and Borborygmos can get in for a good amount of damage.

9) Possibility Storm is really good against the control decks in the format. Since we maindeck 4 of them, try shifting your focus for the sideboard to deal with burn, aggro, and midrange. However, having a solid counter like Counterflux and Swan Song is a good idea to just have handy.

The deck is a refreshing change to the format, as combo is pretty much dead. If you like to play unorthodox decks, then this deck is for you!
