I really like these two, especially paired together. Besides Thalisse and Juri, they're probably my favorite commanders released in Legends. Especially with the two card combo of Glint-Horn Buccaneer and Malcolm. Losing the black from Beckett Brass drops the stronger tutors, but most of the best pirates were UR to begin with.

This deck aims for the aggressive side of things, but with a disruptive side- Pirates like Hullbreacher, Zara, Breeches, etc. like to snatch things like creatures or card draw from our opponents to clear the way for a crew of Captain Vargus Wrath-buffed creatures to swing in.

Malcolm lets us play a little smarter as well, with two infinite combos involving him-

Malcolm + Glint-Horn Buccaneer = near infinite damage. Pay the looting effect on Glint-Horn, it deals damage to the other players, and we get enough treasure tokens to activate it again. Repeat until everyone else is dead.

Malcolm also combos with Freed from the Reel + Lightning-Rig Crew. Enchant the Crew, tap it, deal damage, create treasure tokens. Use a token to pay Blue and untap the crew. Repeat. Opponents have been burned to death. With excess treasures to spare!

Unrelated to Malcolm, we also have two more combos-

Deadeye Navigator + Dockside Extortionist with three or more artifacts on the opponents' fields= Infinite mana. Just keep paying two of the treasures to repeatedly blink Extortionist to get more and more treasures. Feed it into a multi-kicked Comet Storm for a big blow-out.

Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker + Coercive Recruiter= Infinite hasty Recruiter tokens. Tap Kiki targeting Recruiter, create a copy of it. The copy triggers Recruiter and itself, steal a monster with one effect and untap Kiki with the other (and make him a pirate as well- not useful but hey, its flavorful).
