When building budget I tend to focus on 1 for 1 trades with poweful draw engines, as cards that trade many-for one are either too stuational or too expensive in most cases. Roast is personal preference in a metagame that sees a lot of taisugir, the golden fang, Tarmogoyf and Leatherback Baloth - it may be inferior to Flame Slash locally.

The ideal of this deck edit is a turn five spellheart chimera with an empty board and two counterspells in hand- thats the situation I am attempting to create. Think Twice is card advantage at instant speed, usable T2 when you need a Mana Leak or Rune Snag in hand, making it a very practical choice.

Bedlam reveler faces issues with mana fixing without a more stable mana base- RR cost is a serious problem when you have uuur.

Lightning Bolt is the most powerful card in the format, providing tools for near every archetype.

The battle in midrange is going to be in putting out damage in a way that control will find difficult to handle, whilst maintainting protection against combo and aggro.

Falkenrath marauders is interesting in that it provides a growing threat that dodges Fatal Push immediately and lightning bolt after landing a hit.

Here is where I see the deck, it almost feels closer to delver, but should be very playable and cheap.
