The objective of the Izzet Dragons & Wizards Commander Deck is to be aggressive using heavy hitting fliers. Using noncreature spells, aided by your wizards, you clear the battlefield of potential threats for your dragons and drakes.

Your heavy hitting dragons include Nephalia Moondrakes, Balefire Dragon,, Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind, Niv-Mizzet, Dracogenius and Lathliss, Dragon Queen.

Also look out for wizards such as Talrand, Sky Summoner, Soul-Scar Mage, Mizzix of the Izmagnus, Melek, Izzet Paragon and Baral, Chief of Compliance.

There are some spells, that help support this deck’s aggression such as Berserkers' Onslaught for double strike damage, Descent of the Dragons to turn your weaker creatures into 4/4 fliers or Warstorm Surge to get in some additional damage with your creatures.

Other spells help in clearing the path for your dragons such as Cyclonic Rift, Sleep and Aether Gale.
