Pretty flexible deck, burning things with Lightning Bolt and Shock, exiling them to Nivmagus Elemental if they're countered or if you don't need them, eventually trying to make Nivmagus massive and swing without being blocked using Artful Dodge and Distortion Strike.

Nivmagus Elemental has excellent synergy with Artful Dodge. Pay for unblockable, immediately pay for flashback (after it hits the graveyard) and exile it for counters; this essentially makes Dodge into ": Put two +1/+1 counters on target creature. it gains Unblockable until end of turn." Young Pyromancer allows for two 1/1 tokens every time this combo is used for each Pyromancer on the board.

A similar combo is used with Distortion Strike; Strike is played to allow a creature to swing through, then is placed into exile. Rebound means that it can be used again, but if you require your giant elemental to block, you can exile it as it rebounds for more counters.

Runic Repetition is used for Artful Dodge and can be pitched for counters if it isn't needed.

Realmwright is used for mana fixing and can allow Shivan Reef to become a straight dual land after a few turns; a small but undoubtedly beneficial effect (although in this case, Reef becomes indistinguishable from a basic land).
