Control Deck, based in several counter and burn cards, for negating game to opponent and do direct damage at the same time.
2x Firemind's Research are put instead of 2x Search for Azcanta
for Budget reasons, but if you can afford the 2nd one go for it.
Win Condition:
Ionize and Lightning Strike are great for doing direct damage and counter spells at the same time. If you do the math they do the 20 DMG needed. That would be too ideal thou, so we include some help with Ral, Izzet Viceroy that has some sweet abilities for accelerating our draw and doing some damage if needed, and the Emblem is the Essence of our deck resumed in one line.
Wait! We also have Expansion / Explosion, copy of any intant that has CMC less than 4? Ok, nice! Oh wait, I can do X Damage, and also draw X cards in the Late game? Well that sounds like fun for this Deck! Thank you.
Creature Removals:
As you can see, Shock, Lava Coil and Essence Scatter are our main Creature Removal. If you find a Token Deck, Side with Fiery Cannonade for table sweep.
Counters:
Here we have a couple Syncopate that will do the job, Ionize is here too.
Accelerate Draw:
Risk Factor, Chemister's Insight and Firemind's Research can make us draw more cards, and two of these can even do some Damage to the opponent.
Sideboard:
Here we have some Negate in case we are against another Control Deck, a couple more of counters with Disdainful Stroke, complete the stocks of creature removals, and Banefire that is great if you need to do that final uncounterable Damage. Completing this side we have Niv-Mizzet, Parun for that sweet synergy of card drawing and damage.
