This deck has changed so much over its lifetime. Currently, this is its most competitive build. Our main strategy is to tutor for either Mikaeus, the Unhallowed + Yawgmoth, Thran Physician or Ashnod's Altar + Nim Deathmantle (which will need Marsh Flitter or Sling-Gang Lieutenant and another creature like Cruel Celebrant , Zulaport Cutthroat , or Purphoros, God of the Forge )

Monarch helps us to draw cards and dig for our tutors and combo pieces and our tokens give us plenty of fodder to sacrifice to Ashnod's Altar , Phyrexian Altar , or Skullclamp .
Get to your combo as quickly as possible and let the Sultai and Simic decks fight over Monarch while you assemble the pieces.
