I present to you - My Aristocratic Saprolings deck.

This deck's all about getting saprolings on to the battlefield, and sacrificing them with aristocrat effects present. I like to imagine these poor saprolings being brought in to a bright beautiful world with a smile, and without a second's notice the saprolings give a cartoonish scream as they melt in to slime and are sprayed on to enemies with Mr. Slimefoot menacingly hovering over them like that meme of Patrick from Spongebob.

So how do we do damage? Slimefoot, the Stowaway , Blood Artist , Falkenrath Noble , Zulaport Cutthroat , Vindictive Vampire , Poison-Tip Archer play the resident aristocrats.

But, Austin, how do we murder these helpless, innocent saprolings? I'm glad you asked. Viscera Seer , Phyrexian Altar , Ashnod's Altar , Utopia Mycon , Nemata, Grove Guardian , Priest of the Forgotten Gods serve as free sac outlets (the latter not that great because of tap, but Seedborn Muse can make it more valuable). Psychotrope Thallid , Evolutionary Leap both serve as 1 mana sac outlets with great value.

But how do we GET those baby little, innocent-golden-retriever-puppies-running-short-distances-on-white-carpet-to-floof-on-a-pillow, saprolings? Easy. There many saproling generation effects in this deck, including Slimefoot, the Stowaway himself, but some notables are Verdant Embrace , Verdant Force , Tendershoot Dryad , Thelonite Hermit , Jade Mage , Mycoloth , and Saproling Burst . The doubling effects of Parallel Lives , Doubling Season , and Second Harvest help, as well.

Given that some of these saproling generators require mana, there are a few ways to get big mana in this deck. Cryptolith Rite , Zendikar Resurgent to name a couple, along with a decent amount of standard ramp.

Sometimes, you don't even care about killing your own saprolings. Sometimes you wanna just hang out with them and party, maybe GIVEM SOME JUICE. In these cases, Craterhoof Behemoth , Beastmaster Ascension , and Triumph of the Hordes can turn things up to 11 and give you a reason to high five your saproling tokens in front of your angry friends. Good job lil' buddies.

Alas, there are the typical tutors in here, and with that you can sometimes just fish for a win condition that seemingly comes out of nowhere! Ashnod's Altar + Parallel Lives + Slimefoot, the Stowaway = win. Ashnod's Altar + Doubling Season + Slimefoot, the Stowaway = win. But, Austin, what if they try to get rid of one of your combo pieces? Simple - Heroic Intervention will stop most things. If it's an overloaded rift though, well outside of Mastermind's Acquisition ing in a Teferi's Protection , yeah you're fizzed, as is tradition.

This is a fun deck to play, and boy howdy did I enjoy building it. You can check it out in action on the Commander Live twitch channel on Twitch (https://twitch.tv/mtgcommanderlive).
