I've been looking at Sasaya, Orochi Ascendant for a while now, thinking, "This could be a Commander. I don't know what the deck would DO, but this could be a Commander." And I still have sort of the same problem.

I want to find a way of flipping Sasaya consistently, and the closest I can get is land-ramp spells that put cards to hand rather than onto the battlefield (the opposite of what I usually look for). I think having a larger-than-average number of lands will also help in this regard, but at the same time I don't want to limit myself too much. I like cards like card:Greenweaver, As for what I do with all the mana that the deck (eventually) generates, I like the idea of putting it into one "Go Big or Go Home" spell like Gelatinous Genesis, Wolfbriar Elemental or Verdeloth the Ancient; or alternatively, to use cards like Rude Awakening, Kamahl, Fist of Krosa or Ambush Commander to weaponise the lands themselves! $50 budget ver.2
