This deck is number 5 out of my top 5 decks so far.

Introduction:

One of my top five favorite decks. The idea of this deck is to do damage to cast Rakdos, then do more damage to cheat out ridiculous creatures like Blightsteel Colossus and Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger.

I originally thought Rakdos would be fun but unreliable. This deck has actually been really fun and pretty consistent. It doesn't usually have any issues doing what it's trying to do and once it gets running it usually wins from there.

MVPs:

• Dreadhorde Butcher: This card is an absolute house in this deck. Throw it down turn 2 and start swinging and it just keeps piling up the damage and the discount, and when your opponents finally decide to kill it, it dishes out one last round of damage.

• Lobber Crew: A good card for the turn we cast Rakdos. Tap to ping your opponents, then cast Rakdos, untap it, and do it again for a 6 mana discount on the turn Rakdos comes down.

• Thermo-Alchemist: Almost as good as Lobber Crew. There's enough instants and sorceries in this deck that you can untap it fairly consistently.

• Nettle Drone: The most powerful ping creature. Tap it to get a discount for Rakdos, cast an eldrazi like Oblivion Sower, then tap again for a bigger discount. It builds up quick and then you're suddenly vomiting large creatures onto the board.

• Blightsteel Colossus: One of the best beaters in the deck. One unblocked combat and you kill an opponent. I've never lost a game after this card has landed, usually because there's a bunch of other threats to go with it.

• Kozilek, Butcher of Truth: Cast it for free and draw four more cards? Sounds like a good deal to me.

• Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger: Free double exile removal that becomes an indestructible beater with a powerful attack trigger. This another card that usually spells the end of my opponents.
