Description

Check out the competitive version of the deck here! It Really Adds Up (Competitive)

Gaining life is key to success here. Not only is it extending your life expectancy, it's capable of producing silly creature combos (Chaplain's Blessing + Voracious Wurm ), and can pump what you've already got on the field (Ageless Entity + Ajani's Pridemate )

The Wardens make excellent T1 plays, and T2 is prime time to lay out a Lone Rider  Flip, or Ajani's Pridemate.

T3 is where you get to combo up. You can play a Chaplain's Blessing to get value out of your Voracious Wurm as well as transform It That Rides as One  Flip or grow a pridemate. If you need it, you also have the capability to play Survival Cache . More often than not it's a 'Gain 4, draw two' over two turns, but be aware that it's capabilities are diminished against decks that are hard aggro, like burn.

T4 is the soonest you can play Angelic Accord or maybe a Well of Lost Dreams, but I wouldn't rush it. Keep pumping out cards you can play, and keep up the pressure, the decks runs through cards quickly, so play Harmonize or something to refill your hand.

From here on you can get out even more enormous Wurms, and continue to flip Lone Rider  Flips thanks to It That Rides as One  Flip attacking each turn. Ajani's Pridemates will also steadily become stronger. Ageless entity can grow to absurd heights if left unchecked, but it still doesn't have trample, so look to include some evasion like Behemoth's Sledge or Angelic Gift . Otherwise you might be on the Angelic Accord beatdown plan.

Spirit Loop is included because it's a fun little combo with Ageless Entity doubling in size each turn. It's also a recursive lifegain source.

The deck has virtually no removal, so maybe try Journey to Nowhere if you need some. Which you do.

Blessed Alliance is kinda removal, but also doubles as a lifegain card and surprise defense.

Updates

No more frequent triggering stuff. Soul Sisters is the most efficient way to do it, so we'll no longer be making a watered-down Soul Sisters deck. This is a new deck. Lifegain. Actually has win conditions. Reliable. That's what this needs to be. I get caught up in trying to stuff as many synergizing cards into a deck that it loses consistency. Need to focus.

Felidar Sovereign is a win con when you are getting as much life as this.

also if you have a problem with black, look at my deck Orzhov Pain and Gain, there is a dirty combo in there with Sanguine Bond and Exquisite Blood

Wall of Reverence combos nicely with Ageless Entity

Absolutely Wall of Reverence, and if you haven't the room then get rid of the Mantra or something else because the Wall will give you more life each turn than virtually everything else. Stock 3. Also try Gleam of Authority too. Also maybe Heroes' Reunion for a cheeky buff for your Entities and Pridemates.

Sunbond + Wall of Reverence goes crazy if it survives.

Actually I'd be adding removal too. If Path to Exile is too costly then Journey to Nowhere and Oblivion Ring (the more useful of the 2) are decent.

Disclaimer: I pretty much suck at MtG and am just a hack, but....

Seems that most lifegain decks need to lay down a defensive/deterrence barrier before bothering about gaining life. Therefore most Selesnya decks include a few staples, such as Fleecemane Lion, Garruk's Companion, Loxodon Smiter, or Hornet Nest etc ; big cheap-ish hitters/blockers. Also, if the budget can extend that far I like Ghostly Prison or the less effective Norn's Annex.

Check out some lifegain decks for ideas; a good one is Headers13's (http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/h13_sel/); yeah I couldn't get the deck's slug to work.

Also, like it's been mentioned earlier, Wall of Reverence is better than a bunch of little Enchantments etc which give you one or so life points. I understand they were included to help Ajani's Pridemate, but you said that didn't work out so well (WoR will give you exponential life, which rocks...if it survives, which is its biggest problem). A cool combo getting around is Heroes' Reunion + Voracious Wurm = 7 life + 9/9 Wurm for 4 mana. Sweet. Also, it costs a bit but Sunbond (especially if Wall of Reverence is out) rocks. Oh, and Rhox Faithmender is nice if you can afford it.

As for card advantage (i.e. drawing more cards) I'm not too sure... Inspiring Call maybe...?

But I'm fairly inexperienced and so recommend taking this advice with a huge dose of salt.

A buddy of mine ran a deck like this. He used Genesis Chamber and Saltskitter to create a whole bunch of creatures and life gain from his Soul's Attendant.

Just saw this via Saffron olive. cool deck and seems decently positioned. that said I was wondering if you had considered Dusk / Dawn and/or Lone Missionary as dawn gets back most of your creatures, and missionary id hit be dawn and gains life while also being a reasonable body.

Life gain has always been thought of as a weaker archetype in mtg, but this deck seems super tight! I reccomend Kitchen Finks, Serra Ascendant, Rest for the Weary, and maybe Feed the Clan.

Serra Ascendant seems like a good fit here. Sweet games against SaffronOlive btw.

Unless you like it as an etb effect, I would play Pride Guardian > Cathedral Sanctifier

oh my god this deck is boss! I saw your deck at first in the video from Seth ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AfWHUFlIWV4 ) and I thought wow this deck is great! so I wanted to build a Peasant version of your deck. (Peasant is a format that's very similar to pauper but you may use 5 uncommons in total in the 75 and it has its own banlist.)

There is still work in progress but I found some really cool cards that would fit really well in the deck: Sunbond, Armadillo Cloak, Vigorous Charge and maybe Renewed Faith, Remote Farm and Radiant Fountain.

I will share my version wiht you when I finished it.
