***IMPORTANT***

This deck is made specifically for a format at my local card shop where it's the same as regular EDH but every card over $2 (according to the lowest TCGPlayer median price) is banned aside from the general who is allowed to be up to $5.

If you're not interested in playing in this format, use this deck as a skeleton to find some really good, fun, and cheap cards to throw into your deck and improve it with more expensive cards that do a better job.

***IMPORTANT***

Welcome to my Isperia the Inscrutable deck! This deck, along with Jolrael, Empress of Beasts and Lyzolda, the Blood Witch were decks I made to try and utilize underused commanders. As a result, this deck isn't by ANY means competitive (even in the 2DH format), but should be really fun.

In a nutshell, you're going to take a break from playing Magic: the Gathering and have a nice relaxing game of Go Fish with Isperia's combat damage trigger. Though since this IS Magic: the Gathering, there are always tools to help you cheat that. One of the main cards to help with that is Telepathy .

Telepathy is great in so many ways, but the main two are politics and Isperia triggers. Both are pretty self-explanatory, but I'll go into the politics a bit to show how much fun this card can be.

With Telepathy EVERYONE plays with their hands revealed. What this means is that sneaky blue player with one or two permanents but huge combo pieces in their hand was just revealed. On the other hand, the crazy gruul player with some massive 15/15 on the board but a hand full of mountains and forests becomes much less of a threat. Just by playing Telepathy you can quickly change alliances at the table or show all the counterspells someone else at the table is holding. The best part about all of this is that this deck isn't that great. While that normally would be a bad thing, when all hands are revealed you're sitting there with a bunch of durdle cards and a few flying creatures. Unless everyone elses' hands are filled with absolute garbage, players won't normally turn on you because your board develops slowly and steadily (unless of course they want to kill you just to get rid of Telepathy ; in which case...). On top of all of that, your opponents will know a large portion of the cards in your hand anyway since you have to reveal the flying creatures you tutor for, so you pretty much won't reveal anything they don't already know!

In short, this deck plays in a semi-toolbox way. The only "issue" is that your ability to toolbox is conditional on having Isperia out, knowing a card in an opponent's hand, as well as being able to swing in for damage. Even after all of that you still have to reveal your "toolbox" card and you still need to have the mana to cast it.

Even though I'm listing all of the negatives about this deck I really enjoy the style that this deck plays. It's very simple, unique, and with an all flying deck it's easy to swing in for damage. I just want to make sure you all know what you're getting into before building this style of deck!

Tl;dr: Play Isperia, don't look threatening, pay attention to opponent's cards, tutor for what you need, stall game out then win with value.
