Isperia Pillow Fort

Commander / EDH

TheWarleadersFury

This deck is a pillow fort deck with Isperia, Supreme Judge at the helm. This deck's focus is to drop out all the cards that slow down our opponents, like Kismet or Frozen AEther as well as cards that dissuade opponents from swinging our way, like Ghostly Prison and Propaganda. Then it is just hold out until our 5 ways of winning come up. Those 5 ways, in order of potency, are:

  1. Dovescape and Guile to make infinite tokens as long as someone plays a spell. How this combo works is you have Dovescape and Guile out, let's say opponent A plays a 4 converted mana cost spell. That spell will get countered and opponent A gets 4 bird tokens, but because of Guile that spell will end up getting exiled and you now have the ability to cast it for free, and you take that option and it gets countered and you get the 4 bird tokens, then the spell gets exiled, you play it for free again, and rinse and repeat. This will leave opponent A with four bird tokens and you with any multiple of 4 number of bird tokens, meaning infinite unless for some reason you stop the loop. (Side note, if you do not have Guile out or in hand, Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite says GG almost as well)

  2. Enchanted Evening and Cleansing Meditation. This makes all permanents enchantments, which Cleansing Meditation then blows up all enchantments, which now means all permanents, and if you have threshold, this makes it a one-sided board wipe that destroys all opponents things and leaves yours behind, so you should have plenty of time to kill them off before they can rebuild.

  3. Just straight up commander damage. Isperia, Supreme Judge is a 6 power flier that can do a lot of commander damage. If you just drew a bad hand, couldn't find answers, or just drew bad cards for a while and can't get the other combos online because someone hosed them, this is what you need to do. This is why Rogue's Passage, Ethereal Armor, and Righteous Authority are in the deck. Rogue's Passage is a land, so it isn't exactly using a slot, Ethereal Armor is just dumb with the amount of enchantments we have in the deck and with Enchanted Evening out, that is one mighty big sphinx. Righteous Authority is in the deck because it gives us an extra card each turn, which is already great, but gives +1/+1 for each card in hand allowing Isperia, Supreme Judge to get big as long as you have a draw engine out. Not to mention both Ethereal Armor and Righteous Authority can be fetched by Academy Rector and both count towards Ethereal Armor as well.

  4. This fourth one is not really a wincon, rather it is more of a thing that puts you so far out in front that it is very difficult to come back, and that is Planeswalker ultimates. Once you have enough defenses, being able to secure a Planeswalker ult shouldn't be too hard to achieve. Dovin Baan ult is like a Static Orb that cannot be removed, does not worry about being untapped, and only hits opponents. This makes it very difficult for your opponents to do anything. Narset Transcendent ult makes your opponents only be able to cast creature spells, so as long as you have defenses like Sphere of Safety, Solitary Confinement, or Island Sanctuary out it makes it very difficult for opponents to win. Teferi, Hero of Dominaria ult is more of a set up for your other wincons as it exiles at least one permanent every time it is your turn and with the amount of card draw we have, allows us to remove multiple permanents a turn to clear the way for us to either combo out or swing in for lethal.

  5. This isn't really a wincon until late in the game and if it is allowed to do its thing. Luminarch Ascension is often considered a wincon in many pillow fort decks because once you have enough defenses up and it comes online and you have enough mana, you can make a silly amount of tokens each turn.

These are the 5 ways the deck can win. Any suggestions would be appreciated and welcome!
