Is It Cool If I Take All Your Lands?
I had an idea for an Elf deck that overwhelmed every part of me so I decided to divide them and this is the druid deck I made.
It's for casual games among my circle of players and is also mostly meant to be a pseudo-trolling deck.
Need ideas for a win-con other than taking everyone's lands whenever I feel like it.
Fun Mode: Eldrazi Conscription
Troll Mode: Helix Pinnacle + Doubling Cube
Great idea, I don't know why I didn't think of that sooner.
And besides Doubling Chant , every single god damn one of your creatures produces mana. This deck is begging for Genesis Wave .
I would also -1 Arbor Elf to up the Elvish Archdruid count to 4, as he'll become ridiculous, and it even smooths out your curve a bit more. card:Green Sun's Zenith to fetch whichever elf you need I'm thinking spend four mana to put Elvish Harbinger on the battlefield, then search for Gilt-Leaf Archdruid with her ability, and play him next turn as you now have At Least 5 mana from the harbinger).
So in conclusion,
-1 Arbor Elf +1 Elvish Archdruid
-4 card:Nature's Spiral +4 Genesis Wave
-3 Fog +3 card:Green Sun's Zenith
-1 Quest for Renewal -1 Lignify +2 Doubling Chant
Sick deck, I like it alot
I like your ideas and I just came back to this to cut Quest for Renewal down to 3. Certainly helps with the win-con of the deck. As soon as I get paid I'll invest in 4 more Genesis Wave s, 3 [Green Sun's Zenith"s and a couple more Doubling Chant s.
Thanks for the advice.
Maybe you could throw a couple Fireball s in there as an alternate win condition. You don't have to splash red, just use the Elvish Harbinger to get a red mana. And I know he's not a druid, but using Liege of the Tangle to turn all your opponents lands into 8/8 creatures after you take them would be funny.
Nissa Revane 's ultimate would be awesome in this deck.
Liege of the Tangle would be an awesome win-con. I like that.
With all of your mana producers, Omnath, Locus of Mana ?
So I heard you needed a win condition for this deck. If you are planning on winning with damage, Primordial Hydra or Gelatinous Genesis are the cards for you. Of course, if you want something REALLY cool, I suggest Helix Pinnacle
Harmonize for card draw or Garruk, Primal Hunter for draw and an alternate wincon?
I run a druid deck myself and what I've done for an alternate win condition is to add high CC cards like Blightsteel Colossus , Darksteel Colossus , and Eldrazi Conscription . I usually have more than enough mana to play them by turn 5 at the most, and it's something that really surprises people. Nobody expects a Llanowar Elf to have annihilator, and if you can take their lands first before attacking then it becomes a little unfair. Genesis Wave and Doubling Chant together in here should work really well though.
I like the use of Quest for Renewal ; it's better than Seedborn Muse in the right deck.
I really like the idea of Helix Pinnacle as a win-con, fits nicely with the subtle theme of the deck but, I think that Eldrazi Conscription could really pay off with the theme of the deck as well. So, I'll have to figure out which I think would work better. That or, yeah Ezuri since I'll have so much mana. Also think something like Harmonize could really help in the mid-game.
Also with 20 lands and this many mana-generators, you'd be surprised at well it actually does work. On top of that, hitting 7 druids with Gilt-Leaf Archdruid on turn 4 or 5 makes it pretty easy to keep up (or steal up, as it were.)
With all your creatures, an Asceticism or two may not be too bad even if it's just sideboard. Like the deck though. +1
Liege of the Tangle is a fun card I use in my deck why just take their land I'm going to kill you with them too. and then I use Kamahl, Fist of Krosa to give them trample just in case of chump blockers.
For a ton more mana why not throw in a Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger ?
deck is so epic and op just add Strata Scythe and Birthing Pod for more :O
I'm new to standard, and when I used to play standard it was original Mirrodin Block, so I have missed a lot. But I must say when I saw that Helix Pinnacle I literally chuckled. This deck looks like a whole lot of fun, to play and certainly not to play against haha
+1
Personally, I love Eldrazi (surprising, I know) but how about Joraga Warcaller for the win? I'd take out Greenweaver Druid for him, since a fully-leveled Treespeaker will allow any other elf to replace Greenweaver's slot. I like Ezuri too. Door of Destinies could also work.
I really like the idea of using Door of Destinies but, I think I'm going to try and use Helix Pinnacle as a win-con for the time being. I just need help figuring out what I need to take out in place of 2 to 3 of them.
That said, if it doesn't work out I'd probably add Door of Destinies
Maybe some Primordial Hydra s. This is fun, and I can imagine what your friends must do when you play this against them.
Garruk, Primal Hunter would be good for his -6 once you steal their lands. Also, Adaptive Automaton could be fun in here.
Omnath, Locus of Mana so you can ramp mana every turn and use it to win with helix pinnacle.
drop Lignify as a whole it doesn't need to be here. then move Naturalize to sideboard, that will put you at a even 60. then cut x1 card:Green Sun's Zenith , x1 Doubling Chant , and x1 Genesis Wave for x3 Helix Pinnacle
I really love the idea of this deck. I am going to run with it and try a couple of tweaks. just trying to figure out a sideboard for it. I'm still not sure if I want to do the Helix Pinnacle though. Thought about running Canopy Cover to help get through.
@Ancient tales, I agree with moving Naturalize but I was keeping Lignify in the main board as some sort of creature control because I can normally take lands starting at turn 3, 4 at the latest. If there's something that would make more sense that I'm just not thinking of, I'd be glad to hear it. It's also at 66 cards on purpose - just so everyone knows.
I do really like the idea of using Omnath in combination with Helix Pinnacle too but, that also sort of makes one a moot point if you're working on the other, you know what I mean? So, I'll see how well Helix Pinnacle continues to do and otherwise, I might just use Omnath as the main win-con.
i would definately cut the Greenweaver Druid for the Joraga Warcaller i really like this though i have most of the cards so i think i may have to build it good job +1
I know people are talking about "a ton more mana," but why not try Caged Sun ? It's got to be my favorite mana accelerator ever. Not only will it make all Forests pull double duty, but it makes all green creature a little bit bigger. Obviously it's not THAT much more mana, since it only ups basic lands, but still, that extra +1/+1 for green creatures.
Well, on top of the boost the deck only runs Forests so, Caged Sun might not be a terrible idea. The real issue would be where to put it and what to swap for it.
Ahaha you should have so much mana from your creatures, Caged Sun is just overkill. I see no reason for it. After playtesting this a Lot, I actually just took out almost all of the sorceries and enchantments and went pretty much entirely creature based.
Timberwatch Elf and Wellwisher aren't druids, but just beast elves in general. Chameleon Colossus is both an elf and a druid, and an easy output for all that mana and turns into an incredible beater really quickly. Slapping an Eldrazi Conscription onto him is pretty much game unless they have some form of spot removal. Here's my version:
I have all your land? Must be a Gilt-y Conscience
I do like the idea, just seems highly susceptible to destroy all creatures or Naturalize on Helix Pinnacle . +1 though
Maybe sideboard Fresh Meat or Caller of the Claw ?
aser27 the Helix Pinnacle has shroud so it can't be targeted. But the deck is susceptible to creature removal. Could sideboard some Canopy Cover s for removal heavy decks though. I made a take off of this deck for my casual play group without the Helix Pinnacle s. Take a look if you want and see what you think Elvish Thievery. Thanks
FYI: Priest of Titania is in fact a druid
What about pulling 4 Forest s for 4 Wirewood Lodge s. This would speed up the counters on the Helix Pinnacle as long as you have at least one Elvish Archdruid on the field.
Well, this deck is pretty tight, but it doesn't hold up to Legacy Burn. I do like your deck, though. Simple strategy, with simple cards that pwn all.
I'd put in a Coat of Arms or four. You have 27 druids; Even if you only got out ONE Coat of Arms that's still a roflstomp.
I am having a hard time typing this, cause i am ROFLMAO right now, considering i just playtested this againts my friend's Mono Green Landfall deck (really fast, impressive speed actually) (and yes, we have no problem using laptops to play magic) His Face WAS PRICELESS he wanted to rage me so hard, But he couldn't cause he was LAUGHING HIS ASS OFF!!! +1 if for nothing else, then the giggles and fun (P.S, I won, by the way) ;)
I'm a huge fan of Garruk, Primal Hunter , Liege of the Tangle , and Kamahl, Fist of Krosa .
But as per trolling, Garruk and Liege are the best. I'd say just one of each in place of two of your Greenweaver Druid s. I really wish I was allowed to give you more than just +1! This deck looks beautiful, especially in multiplayer!
This deck is hilarious in multiplayer, trust me.
@drizzt102, I'm glad you got a kick out of playing it. It's a fun one, right?
Right now the win con is Helix Pinnacle but, I've found that I can rotate that for Eldrazi Conscription or Coat of Arms and still troll hard while winning simultaneously. I've been considering running Garruk, Primal Hunter in that spot as well. A mid-game multiplayer Primal Hunter ultimate is pretty funny. I just need to buy my own set.
so maybe as a wincon you could play Overwhelming Stampede , Triumph of the Hordes , or Overrun . the stampede would be really devastating if you had an archdruid out, since he would most likely be a 6/6. also, i think you should replace the Greenweaver Druid s with Fyndhorn Elves (erratad to elf druid)
Man this deck is legend! +1 One of the only thing i can suggest is Dungrove Elder Fun Ramp and Doubling Cube It'll get you Spastic Amounts of mana for The Helix. Again this is Awesome!
I generally hate elves cause there very annoying with stuff like this. That generally means this a amazing deck. +1 and +1 respect
Not sure if you are still reading this or not... but what about using 2 Devoted Druid s and a Ezuri, Renegade Leader for an infinite mana combo and insta win with the Helix Pinnacle out?
This is an absolutely insane deck, I just can't beat that mana ramp, even Lotus Cobra doesn't compare.
I would suggest Thousand-Year Elixir because then you can cast more spells after genesis wave / doubling chant, and you can almost double your Archdruid by untapping it.
I'd recommend Priest of Titania
I found a third option for you: Turbo Troll Mode (possibly Rage Mode?)
Drop Kozilek, Butcher of Truth , sideboard a bunch of Eldrazi Baddies (may I suggest the whole crew) And then add and play:
30 mana = one turn MFW moment

Try adding in Doubling Chant for even more hilarity when you have all your creatures out.
Love the deck: +1
