This is a modern deck I'm trying to make. The concept is super simple. Get out a Laboratory Maniac , empty your graveyard, get out an Inverter of Truth , and then try to draw a card. It uses a land base similar to the black version of eldrazi decks that try and dump out Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger turn 4, but with a different strategy.

Turn 1 - Island

Turn 2 - Eldrazi Temple

Turn 3 - Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth , Laboratory Maniac

Turn 4 - Land, Inverter of Truth , Gitaxian Probe / Serum Visions / Relic of Progenitus

Obviously this doesn't work out in your favor most of the time, so a good portion of the time you're just going to mulligan until you have an Inverter of Truth in your starting hand. You'll be winning by turn 5-7 a good portion of the time, and as with these fragile combo decks, sometimes you just can't pull it off. Because of this, I'm not trying to making this a super competitive deck, but I would love to make it good enough to do well at an FNM event. The biggest problem so far is getting both components of the combo. Playing them isn't too hard, it's getting them into your hand. The way I've tried to fix this is by stuffing in a ton of cheap draw spells, but I'd love some more help getting with being able to get either Laboratory Maniac and Inverter of Truth into my hand.
