Infinite Biovisionary

Standard* Combo G/U/B (BUG)

IceTwenty Score: Unrated

Description

Infinite science! Infinite Reflection + Biovisionary for an instant win.

Basic strategy: Drop some defenders, ramp with Axebane Guardian (and Evil Twins of Axebane Guardian), get the winning combo out with the aid of Forbidden Alchemy and Tracker's Instinct, then cast the combo in one turn and end for the win.

Clone & Cackling Counterpart are great ways of getting more Biovisionary s on the field. Also I suggest reassessing your use of black, it isn't bringing much to the table and you can swap out for better things like the aforementioned cards.

The main reason I wanted to splash black was for Golgari Charm to protect against board wipe. In addition, Evil Twin is more versatile than Clone , since I can also use it to get rid of big threats on the enemy's side.

Also, I'm actually cloning Axebane Guardian more than Biovisionary - having 2-3 Guardians on the field (both originals and evil twins) gives me enough mana to cast the winning combo all at once, rather than having to get Biovisionary out and then wait 1-3 turns to either clone him or drop Infinite Reflection (during which he's a lot more susceptible to spot removal).

I see where you are coming from I'm a slightly bigger fan of things like Cackling Counterpart + Rootborn Defenses to survive board wipes. But i understand your rational and everything seems in order. Carry on =)

If you're running black and ramp, you could always try Diabolic Revelation to draw any remainder Biovisionary 's needed to finish the combo.

the upcoming stolen identity would be pretty good, as well.

The only real way to avoid Slaughter Games is with Witchbane Orb . Beyond that, yeah, Slaughter Games shuts this deck down pretty hard.

Board wipe can either be counterspelled or Golgari Charm 'd. Fast aggro can be dealt with using Fog , Downpour , or just relying on your walls if they don't have trample/burn damage. After some Cockatrice testing, I find that this deck excels against any kind of slower deck, and just has to sideboard against fast aggro.

Baddie: It's six mana for one token from Stolen Identity . He will be doing no attacking with this deck to get any more tokens out of it.

Yeah, you're right, it's a cool concept, but you would need to build a deck around it with things like Parallel Lives and unblockables. In this deck, meh.

I chose not to focus on cloning Biovisionary, since that takes multiple turns (unless you have 3 clone cards + Biovisionary in hand with a much bigger mana pool). With this deck, all you need is Biovisionary, Infinite Reflection, and 9 mana. I actually use Evil Twin to clone Axebane Guardian , not Biovisionary, in order to hit this amount of mana much faster.

Hey guys, for another approach, checkout my Cyphersonic Biovisionary deck!!

By adding red you actually have pretty sweet other options to copy spells. Furthermore, Hypersonic Dragon is nice for Stolen Identity !!

went a little diffrent route on mine. still takes about 4-5 turns to get the victory but done a few playtests and usually makes it quite nicely. granted im not playing anyone and there would b alot of burn or kill cards. take a look if you would please tell me what u think.

I think you should put snapcasters in. Also cackling counterparts would be good. An alternative win condition can be just getting massive mana ramp from axebane and dropping something like omnscience or door to nothingness.

This deck and omnidoor need to fuse into a thing.

Also SIMIC CHARM. You NEED it. Bouncing a creature could be extremely useful, not to mention the hexproof...

Loftycop says... #22

try throwing Clone and Cackling Counterpart in there. Also, try to fit Parallel Lives it'll double your Biovisionary tokens with the counterparts. I also suggest running Simic charm because it gives your creatures Hexproof so they cant target the Visionaries. Check out my build, also give me some feedback. http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/biovisionary-07-03-13-1/
