A new combo deck for Avacyn:
The deck:
This is the combo deck that I intend to be playing in the new standard. It is mostly post-rotation in its combo pieces (and most other pieces depending on reprints in m13), is versatile in its win conditions and has a lot of room to grow.
Basically mana ramp and play either
Nephalia Smuggler
or Deadeye Navigator and start doing their abilities on either Stonehorn Dignitary (to stall) or Village Bell-Ringer (to win).
The Village Bell-Ringer combo's with mana creatures to get into an infinite flicker combo and therefore infinite mana, one can infinitely draw with Mentor of the Meek or Jace's Archivist and mill with the later and Elixir of Immortality as a win mechanic.
It has the potential to combo with any creaure that taps to do things or, if you have the mana and two Deadeye Navigators, with any enter the battlefield ability. For example
Goblin Fireslinger
for infinite damage,
Merfolk Mesmerist
for infinite mill, etc etc.
Another interesting combo piece is Primal Surge, with it and the mana ramp already present in the deck, it is very probable to hit all the necesary combo pieces. It is the ultimate (and most expensive) cantrip.
The other major win card is Craterhoof Behemoth with the amount of small mana creatures in the deck or getting one out with Primal Surge its an almost certian win. If not, flicker it next turn and swing again.
Sideboard:
The sideboard also leaves many options in protection, removal and changing or specialising win conditions depending on the opponent.
In conclusion:
I am quite excited about this deck, especially since all the major combo pieces are post rotation. I intend to be playing this for a while and working on it so please share your thoughts and suggestions.
The decks biggest problem is consistency which I will be working on and am more than open to help. I am trying to keep it relatively distanced from The scars block though.
Thanks for looking, dont forget to +1.
Im open for name suggestions too, thanks.
