I love making tribal decks for tribes I dont see much and green insects is my latest project. Mostly just kitchen table shenanigans.

So Im aiming for token generation and combat maneuvers.

Early game Scute Mob can chump block or stick around to add to the tribe/grow stronger quickly After my 5th land drop.

Broodhatch, Hornets Nest, and Saber Ants are keys for tokengeneration. When creatures hit them you can pump either of them depending on if you want more tokens or to kill the opponents creature. And Heroic Intervention can help against a lot of removal or surviving a combat round.

Evolution charm can bring back bugs you want to use again, give evasiveness to bigger creatures, aid in blocking flyers, or just help avoid land stalling.

A flashed in Skylasher plus a Giant Growth can help against a pesky flyer attacking in, as well as overall air defense. Plus it doesnt hurt if you come across a blue deck.

Deadbridge Goliath is mostly just in for turn 4 beef and can be scavenged later if youre down to top decking.

Ant Queen is another big beefy crawly who you can dump mana into later in the game to keep the ranks growing.

Alpha Authority can make a creature gross and is equally protected by Heroic Intervention.

But the piece de restistance is Setessan Tactics, allowing you to force creatures you want to hit each other, to hit each other. This can help make sure that Hornets nest takes damage, or that your wasp token kills a creature you want it to. And being able to target additional creatures can be huge. Taking three hornets and killing three creatures for 4 mana is dope, or just have your biggest 3 creatures get +1/+1 and hit your nest for 4 mana to create an explosion of hornets!

With that in mind ramping into Obelisk of Urd with convoke should be easier and swinging around their defenses while building up your own should be a blast!
