Post-Transformative Sideboard —Sept. 27, 2012

Switched out the main combo for the aggressive sideboard, for playtesting purposes.

Wow, works surprisingly well. +1!

I would add Deadly Recluse , Sentinel Spider , Silklash Spider , or Plummet for control over flying creatures.

I decided to go with Silklash Spider as the start of my sideboard.

Looks great! Mwonvuli Beast Tracker is decent for finding creatures but only puts them on the top of your library, however there aren't any better creature search cards in Standard right now, so yeah. Good job on the deck!

All I think of is Black Isle and Forgotten Realms merchandise because the Spine of the World is actually an location in it.

If I were you I would TOTALLY up the combo between card:Descendants' Path, Boneyard Wurm , Mwonvuli Beast Tracker and Worldspine Wurm . I would 4x of each of those cards. With a wurm out and the path, go pull the Great Sarlacc (aka worldspine) and put him atop the library to conveniently be flipped and played by the path the next turn.

Nice man... you found a fourth/fifth turn Worldspine combo.

@AncientDragon999 Having a wurm (most likely Boneyard Wurm ) and card:Descendants' Path out and then casting Mwonvuli Beast Tracker for Worldspine Wurm is such a great feeling. It's also really frustrating to have card:Descendants' Path and Mwonvuli Beast Tracker but no other wurm.... card:Jarad's Orders helps with this. Glad you like the deck! =D

@kyoukitenshi Yeah, the "Spine of the World" trope is a somewhat popular trope in fantasy. One of the better ones, imo.

@TyWooOneTime I have considered 4x card:Descendants' Path and Mwonvuli Beast Tracker , but all I ever want to see of them is one each to get the combo out. Seeing either one more than once without seeing the other is actually rather bad. And Worldspine Wurm only needs to be a 1x because there's no risk of it disappearing from my library, and as long as its in there, I can tutor it with the aforementioned. I almost never want to naturally draw him. Boneyard Wurm is definitely a 4x.

Good Deck!!! Why don't you try Adaptive Automaton in order to increase the number of wurms?

Adaptive Automaton sadly rotates out as soon as RTR hits.
