Sideboard

Hi guys! This is a deck I managed to make, post RTR and M14 rotation. This deck is an aggressive mono-blue strategy using easy-to-cast flying and evasive creatures. Although, it is quite vulnerable to board wipes, but in the long run, I don't think anyone would use a Hero's Downfall on a small creature. Long live the Welkin Tern .

The deck used to play a playset of Welkin Tern s but after playing with it alot, I found out that having 8 creatures of the same kind ( Vaporkin and Welkin Tern ) slows down tempo alot. So I removed the birds and let the Vaporkin s stay due to their combo with the Master.

Here's the breakdown of cards:

CREATURES:

mostly fliers for evasion and fast game, block when necessary, as some players seem to forget this

Ornithopter - A blocker; a potential target for Ensoul Artifact; can be used to cast Illusory Angel on turn 3.

Triton Shorestalker - Unblockable. Good lord! Unblockable. Why didn't I see this before?! Better than the siren, I think? Fugitive Wizard can be as good as this, but nope! Haha. :p

Hypnotic Siren - A one drop flier. Which is good.

Vaporkin - She has synergy with Master of Waves .

Quickling - She can be used to save your creature's ass; returns Ornithopter for turn 3 reasons; flash. Can return Master of Waves ' to abuse the devotion mechanic as long as Hall of Triumph is in play.

Illusory Angel - Also aggressively-costed; can kill a Stormbreath Dragon (she dies along with it though, unless Hall of Triumph is in play); survives Bile Blight, Anger of the Gods, and Drown in Sorrow. Can be cast on turn 3 using Ornithopter. Even a turn 4 Illusory Angel is good.

Master of Waves - Great for token generation. Although we don't generate much devotion, dropping the Master even with a few devotion can be overwhelming.

ENCHANTMENTS:

Ensoul Artifact - Because Ornithopter and Darksteel Citadel gets some action on turn 2. A 5/5 flier or 5/5 indestructible citadel scissors is not bad on turn 2, I think?

Military Intelligence - Nets cards, 'nuff said.

ARTIFACTS:

Hall of Triumph - Buffs the blue creatures. This is a great innovation guys!

SORCERY:

Void Snare - Cheap; can help cast Illusory Angel for it is cheap; removes pestering blockers and planeswalkers temporarily. Yeah, it's sorcery speed, but who cares? It's affordable and you don't really mind casting it on your turn because all you want to do is attack and attack.

NON BASIC LAND:

Darksteel Citadel - Why? Because Ensoul Artifact, that's why.

SIDEBOARD:

For the sideboard, feel free to remove some Military Intelligence, Hall of Triumph , and a couple of Hypnotic Sirens on the mainboard and put in these.

Stubborn Denial - Saves your ass from boardwipes. With the 5/5s and 4/4s in the deck, all is well.

Dissolve - Hard counter. <3

Gainsay - For, uhm, blue.

Singing Bell Strike - For big things.

Polymorphist's Jest - Destroys enemy's boards.

AEtherspouts - For the guy who goes all in on you.

Thank you for reading and this deck is open for sideboard and maybeboard suggestions! +1s are appreciated. :)
