Rune-Tail is my longest standing deck and it has gone through several iterations. This is the most consistant I've managed to get it.

Where is the Sunscorch Regent? Ajani's pridemate? I shed the counter creatures long ago but for good reason. Not only does it draw less attention to you, it's also not how this deck wins. You want your playing field to say, you can't hit me but I'm also not your biggest concern. Also Solemnity. It's a fantastic hate card for infect, experience counter commanders, and plenty of other problems that counters can pose. I used to have phyrexian unlife in the deck but it acted more as a stall than a win con.

The win cons are amusing, and Urborg is your biggest friend. You want to pull it with expedition map or weathered wayfarer and if you get the ranger of eos you should be getting wayfarer and one of the soul sisters. You'll either use Kormus Bell to turn all the lands into creatures, neuter the board with Elesh Norn and then swing (Martial coup and mass calcify are so-so too), block with tour tapped lands with Masako the Humorless, or get Karma down and start damaging people with their own lands, while protecting yourself with Palisade giant, Pariah, Pariah's Shield or Personal sanctuary (which is also nice against fevered visions and nekusar).
