This deck is based on using Enduring Renewal to control the board and to set up a milling win condition. Instead of trying to mill as fast as possible, this deck is designed to keep you alive against competative aggro while slowly milling them away or hitting on an infinite mill combo.
Control:
- Enduring Renewal + Kami of False Hope this makes a repeatable fog effect that can only be disrupted by exile.
- Enduring Renewal + Nevermaker because of evoke, you can put a card on top of their deck every turn. This starves their hand and removes threats. This works for any non land card. Combine Altar of the Brood + Nevermaker and you can also mill that card in their graveyard.
- Reflector Mage this is great for disrupting agro. Especially if Enduring Renewal puts it back in my hand after blocking.
- Condemn Celestial Flare Spirit Link are good budget removal especially for infect, bogles, etc. They help keep us alive early.
- Blade Splicer + Enduring Renewal is really good for putting up blockers. Cheap to cast and if it dies, you can play it again. Getting 3 or 4 first strike golems at once can be hard to get by.
Card Draw/Getting Creatures:
- Dusk / Dawn board wipe for creatures bigger than mine, and also gets creatures back in my hand. This is critical because Enduring Renewal won't let me draw them.
- Court Hussar is fantastic. It allows me to repeatably find the cards I need. It is great for bypassing Enduring Renewal creature filter.
Wincon:
- Altar of the Brood + Endless One + Enduring Renewal = infinite mill
- Startled Awake because you can get it back from the graveyard as a creature, you can basically keep it continuously in play.
- Altar of the Brood + Enduring Renewal + Kami of False Hope you can sacrifice him 4-6 times a turn and mill away!
